In todays episode, join us as we spend a week in the mountains of Wales searching for abandoned houses.
Beautiful exteriors, mysterious locations, shocking discoveries and strange experiences, all eventually leading us to what we're looking for…
Time has stood still in this desolate farmhouse for decades, memories from a now distant past transport you back to the mid 1900’s.
There is no sign of modern life within these stone walls, its hard to comprehend how these possessions have remained here all this time.
A true time capsule, hidden upon a mountain top…

Some great finds there. Those lightbulbs in that shed are old valves from wireless sets and monochrome TVs. Lemon Cheese is Lemon Curd what you spread on sandwiches or bake in tarts. That bank book says £98 pounds. 11/- shillings and 9 pence in pre-decimal currency. That bill for the hotel is again pre-decimal. 22/- (Shillings) for room and 24/- Shillings if with breakfast. Lunch 8/- shillings, Dinner 11/- shillings.

David hi there,,,,,, can relate to all of these items
being 82 years old,,, my granny Bickley had a cottage that had fire-cooking cast-iron ranges like those here
kettles saucepans,,, medication from a bygone age
photos from WW1,,,, wedding from the 1940s
it heart-breaking to see knowing the happiness that must have been within that cottage household,,, Ed

Hi Sam and Jess 👋 I was so excited when you found the last house well and truly abandoned 😁 I loved all the little things that layed around and the old fireplace with the very old cooker and kettles! I just love that when a place has been abandoned for Decade's, you get the 😮 factor . I reckon you need to get yourself a gardening tool so that you can get through all brambles, lol Thanx guys for another brilliant abandoned tour 🤗😊 xx

The zebrite is blacking which is used on stoves and ranges. The old cooker that you referred to as an aga is the old range and made from cast iron. The zebrite is used to restore it by 'blacking' it. This essentially means rubbing on the zebrite. Another brand is zebo.
Another great video, I love your passion and enthusiasm but equally your utter respect for these properties and the care that you take to avoid entering any inhabited buildings 💜💚💜

Your Wales road trip is fabulous! I love all the photography it’s beautiful!! That last little farmhouse was unbelievable! Some of my ancestors came from Wales and I’m wondering if this was how they lived. This was really a great time capsule. Can you imagine how hard it would’ve been if you lost your husband and you were the last one left trying to make things work in your advanced age. Must’ve been really a tough life. Thank you so much. Glad you guys are safe. Love y’all.💜🤟🏻🤗🦔🤙🏻🇺🇸

Often at night, especially in winter, the animals would have been downstairs while the people would have slept in a rough sleeping loft above, making use of the rising heat from the animals & their dung to stop the family from freezing.

Cool houses. Love the old cast iron stoves . Lemon cheese is today’s equivalent of lemon curd. As a child of the 70s I remember a few of the labels on the those jars and things.

The last farmhouse was fascinating! Love seeing how people farmed and lived back in the day when life was a lot simpler, though they worked hard for a living. I think they had so many large kettles for heating water for bathing, doing dishes and cleaning the equipment for butter and cream production. Loved the explore, greetings from Australia. 🦘🥰😊🤗

Also, here in the states the bottle was wired on the outside with wire. The wire was shaped and twisted like a 'flies eyeball. Have a great adventure. Julie k

The Zeebrite is a polish for the stove, I still buy it today for my wood burner, you work it on just like polish and buff or brush it off just like a shoe. The Midland Bank Account was LSD, pre-decimal, so he had £99, 11 shillings and 9 old pence. I think the bottle on the fireplace that seperated was a stomach medicine called kaolin and morphine, you have to shaske it up to mix, still available today. The Hoover was a floor polisher, it had two brushes, so they probably had hard or wood floors, possibly lino. Lovely old cottage.
