When I found your channel, I thought "Umbergnome" meant that your Fantasy character was a gnome. It worked really well for me, because what Fantasy creature is more huggable and nonintimidating than a gnome? You see, I need to be able to let my guard down before I can fully enjoy ASMR. The gentle sound of crackling fire in the background is really good. Sometimes I notice it, sometimes I forget it and focus entirely on you, and that's a nice process. Your dry, deadpan explanation of how people with certain afflictions are affected in odd ways by the sight of an onion was brilliant :)
The genuine feeling that umber puts into everything he puts out is so relaxing, it almost (honestly, i still get brought back to awakeness every time) makes up for that loud dried seed instrument he uses in all these videos. They're extremely relaxing and interesting, so it doesn't matter that the instrument wakes me up, since he's able to put me back to sleep in the same video, after all he's courteous enough to only do it in the beginning. This guy manages to relax me, wake me up, and then relax me back to sleep, he's like Tirar, less relaxing, but more tingly. Way more tingly
Dude I just realized that this GODLY man makes his videos hour long, he can roleplay for up to an hour without breaking character and he can be relaxing and interesting as fuck. This guy needs more subs

I found your channel, looking for brand new asmr. As for me I do not get asmr from videos if I watch it more then once. So the first time is the best. The amount of effort put into these videos is incredible. The background sounds, the Audio quality and your soothing voice are amazing. I have no clue how you do not have as many subs as some other asmr channels, who lack that artistic/passionate touch you add to your videos. The variety of videos you post is excellent. Thanks so much! I love it when people note the effort that goes into this. What you might not know, is that each video takes about three nights to make. One for filming, one for editing, and one for uploading. That's without counting the time I think about the project. But I think it's worth it!

It came out a lot better than I had ever expected, but boy. Did I have stage fright. And you can sure tell in the beginning! I stumbled over my words a fair few times! xD This is actually proving to be a fair bit more fun than I anticipated! Though now I'm going to have to worry about video work, next. Question: Do you connect your microphone directly to your camera so it uses the mic audio instead? Or do you record the audio and video separate, and just... sync the superior mic audio in time with the video file, and overwrite the camera's audio? Thank you again for the advice and inspiration, by the way. Without wonderful performers/artists such as yourself, I wouldn't have mustered the nerve to begin in the first place!
Awesome! Keep trying and learning and growing! That's what life is about! There are a lot of tutorial videos about film making on youtube. Yes, I record my audio separately and sync later to avoid all the problems with cable noises, both from friction, impact, and the actual signal degrading. It makes the auto sync almost 100% foolproof in my relatively frustrating editor (Cyberlink Powerdirector 13) if I clap my hands three times at the beginning of each take.
