Hi Charity. Thanks for another fun episode. I am happy with Pandora staying as she is. She looks very interesting!! If she had a baby with the squished-featured supersim you have of mine their children would be, erm, interesting!! I loved seeing Jim Pickens. He is a true legend! I look forward to seeing how Pandora faces her teenage years. It always seems to take me forever to get through the teenage aspirations.
She definitely looks better with the new hair. The tall hair bun wasn't doing her any favors. Her hair was bigger than her head! I've been saving the other super sims for when she's a teenager or older because she'll interact with them more. Jim and Max are going to be more background characters. Let's see how fast I can speed through the teenage aspirations now that they've fixed the college party frequency.
I feel like the 12 hours without a negative moodlet thing is a bit broken. When you actually get it, it just feels so random. I was in Selvadorada; I had one child sim with every need in the red, so I had him stay home when he had a huge handful of positive moodlets, that were all expired, but still superimposed because he was on a different lot. After some time, I brought him to the current lot where he had some needs in the red, and he just got it after a few minutes out of nowhere. Meanwhile, hours and hours and hours later with other child sims never dipping bellow yellow: nope. Still don't have it for them. There's definitely a quirky little thing you have to go for that DOESN"T have to do with negative needs directly. There's probably a very easy way to force/exploit your way through this aspiration, but I haven't quite figured it out yet. Traveling while leaving your child sim on their home lot definitely does something though.
Yah, for me, I had to make sure that the aspiration was active and on the correct step, then let needs get to red, then get them back to green for 12 hours. If I switched aspirations and that one wasn't active at the 12 hour mark, then I couldn't get it.
@@charitycodes - Oh wow, I think you just cracked the case. He came to the lot in red, and because he already did the time, it popped it. They have to go to red, then go back to green., kind of like getting promoted in theatre if your kid reached the top of the career before aging up. I do think in this case, they were still in red when he got the aspiration. I have 2 out of 6 kids that this just isn't working for, so I'm gonna go try that now.
Yup, it worked. I made them pop a bunch of berries so they crapped themselves (that's what they get for screwing up my gameplay), and sure enough the aspiration completed after I gave them a shower. It actually took the full 12 hours afterwards though, so that's a pretty steep thing to have to make up for. I guess the only benefit with the new compacted duration aspirations is they don't get "stuck" like they do with fitness or fishing, but they can get "frozen." I still haven't figured out what causes them to freeze.
@@Brakathor that was my experience too. After the red needs, I had to wait 12 more hours in game keeping them green and not change the aspiration. Mine bugged out and got stuck when I switched aspirations.
With the void critter event, I had to pause after each collect to give time for the next to spawn without running out of time for the event. It is very difficult.
Were you planning to make sure that Pandora lives in all the worlds at least once in her life? How about the extra families? Were you planning to update us on them now and then, including looking at family trees so we can keep track of them? I had not heard of Kevin and his supersim series. I will have to check him out..
Yes, I'm going to move Pandora around and live in each world at least once. So far, there have been 3 and I'm just going through the list backwards from the newest to the oldest. For the extra families, I'm introducing one at a time each episode. Whenever the oldest child in a family reaches young adult, I will go back to that family and add a new person to be that child's spouse and have them have a child. I will do this as part of the episode like the introductions. I might do it at the end of the episode if I get too many families having babies. Max and Jim are just so iconic that they can be at the beginning of the episode.
@charitycodes I knew you would be adding them, one at a time. At least so far. I was just curious about updates on stream. You said you were going to monitor all ten, but I wasn't sure if that would be edited out or whatever.
@@rosameryrojas-delcerro1059 I will update for those curious, but it will be brief like the intros here. If you'd like the track the family trees, I'll make sure to include that so we get all of the branches if any other kids happen to have kids. Neighborhood stories is on for all of those families even though they are marked as played. I might even use my aspiration goals to advance their families when I need to do Neighborhood Confidante.
Oh, and Jim Pickens is not a super sim, he's just a recurring character from CallMeKevin. He's a cult leader and pretty evil. His let's plays are pretty chaotic, but I like his humor. The playlist is at th-cam.com/video/_21Rw_ROeDk/w-d-xo.html
@@charitycodes I play on console/PS5 so when I made my save file I found out half my community lots were set as residential lots after I saved and left the lot....it was very frustrating.
They have a few spells that can. Inferniate even directly starts a fire as a success because that's the point of the spell. Repairio is supposed to repair an object, but it starts a fire on the object if you fail. That's what happened here.
Clement Frost has $500,000 by default and I added him to my household in a previous episode. Ever since then, Karla has been earning money by investing due to her trait that deposits money into household funds based on the current household funds. After several weeks, the money snowballs.

:) i saw the thumbnail i sreamed JIM PICKENS
I would really love a face makeover for Pandora! She will be perfect at everything else, might as well have a perfect face))
I'm not sure about perfect, but I may adjust her features to be less extreme and more realistic.

Awesome episode ❤
Thanks!
With the void critter event, I had to pause after each collect to give time for the next to spawn without running out of time for the event. It is very difficult.
I found a few in a row here, so just spamming the interaction can work too.
I have seen Clement gone by neighborhood stories about twice. I think it can happen, but maybe rarely.
I had someone else leave me a comment that he always dies that way.
@@charitycodes You're just unlucky then if even NS won't send him to his demise.
8:52 another way to get certain moodlets it to use the lamps? I think you needed sims 3 packs, but i know there were lamps that gave certain emotions
Yah, I have those, but forgot about it. They only give a +1 to a mood I think and her confidence is hard to override.
I see the simmies and capsules while dumpster diving. I don't pay any attention to individual ones though.
I am okay with Pandora as-is regarding her face.

@charitycodes Cool.
I hate that bug about placing lots and it doesn't stay that way unless you reload the lot and change it again.
I was today years old when I realized what was happening! I was previously gaslighting myself into thinking I hadn't changed it.
@@charitycodes I play on console/PS5 so when I made my save file I found out half my community lots were set as residential lots after I saved and left the lot....it was very frustrating.
Whiz Pickens! 🤣🤣🤣
Spellcasters can start fires?
They have a few spells that can. Inferniate even directly starts a fire as a success because that's the point of the spell. Repairio is supposed to repair an object, but it starts a fire on the object if you fail. That's what happened here.
@charitycodes Got it. I don't play occults, so I didn't know spells could fail.
What's up with the voidcritters?
It's a child only event for Snowy Escape. It doesn't really give you anything, but it's similar to Pokemon games for the sims.
How do you get so much money?
