That original fight between Sonic and Knuckles is notorious for being underwhelming and over too soon.
I’m glad that this movie will be pulling out all the stops to depict Knuckles as the daunting powerhouse that he is ✊

You're right. Unfortunately, not always, movies from videogames are THAT beautiful. Just enjoyable, though
I honestly love how detailed their characters looked even back in those Genesis days. Sonic looked handsome in 3D animations and 2D sprites while the movie version looks hilarious
The thing that movie Sonic lacks is the edgy look and the rad attitude that Sonic has

I honestly love how this movie might combine both sonic 2 and sonic 3 in one movie that honestly is worth it can't wait to see it
Also side note the person that was chosen to play kunckles for this movie sounds excellent and also is really good at selling the tone of the character and overall his entire personality as a whole
Also in Sonic games, he eats bubbles to breath. He does that in Sonic 2 as well!

It does looks like a redesign of it or a mix between sonic 2 death egg robot and great eggman robo
It reminds me of the death eggrobot from sonic, the one from Sonic forces and the other from Sonic 3 & Knuckles (from the death egg zone)

I kind of figured it has some reference between Sonic 2 and Sonic 3 & knuckles.
Actually when sonic, knuckles and eggman went to the temple, it was actually depicted (also) from the temple in STH's Labyrinth Zone.
