super bug, yeah. jen brought it back to malta with her. i haven't filmed anything ofor a week. AE was the first thing i've tried, and it took me 3 goes to avoid having huge coughing fits during. my lungs are full of gunk!
You did it again Richard. Another game i bought because of You! :) I asked You lately if I should buy LE: Alien or Aeon's End. I bought AE and its great! Just as I saw Your video about War Eternal i had to make a pledge.
Wonderful indeed and this has come out of the blue. I never saw this at Gama or heard anything about it before.
It's a game that took me by surprise. The only deck builder I have is Marvel Legendary. This one seems to hit the mark for me. I like the no shuffling concept of the game and the randomness of turn order. Yeah it's not like you go then the enemy goes. you could have 2 turns in a row or the nemesis can get 2 turns in a row. You can also plan accordingly knowing you get 2 turns or the nemesis get's 2 turns. It's that unique.
Looks great. If I don't have the original Aeon's End, would you recommend that I just buy this instead?
philchazwill I would wait for the kick starter. They are updating the player mats for the old game as well as the cards I believe. Those who purchased the game post kickstarter will have to prove they purchased it and if they do they can pick up the upgrade pack for 10 dollars.
question for you. is the cardstock on the nemesis any better or thicker?
no idea. i don't have the final copy, just a protoype

Or Maybe I would be enough with this standalone expansion only, maybe adding one mini expansion? And War Eternal still shines as two player as standalone game?
Aeon's End is great. If Your are not sure if it feets buy first lvl on KS War Eternal + Void? If You love it buy Aeon's End and treat it as expansion - to add more cards, nameless and mages.
So, I dont have any Aeon End... Is it a no-brainer that I should just buy this one or it there any reason to by the first core game first (it is all in retail now)? Thanks
about as close to no brainer as possible. definitely start with this i would say :)
Would this be able to fit in the same box as the original? It looks like there should be enough space.
you could fit 3 copies of the base game in the original box (2 if sleeved) shouldn't be a problem at all
Was able to playtest this for them and you're underselling Garu. With LINK spells (can prep 2 spells to 1 breach) you can theoretically get up to 32 damage in one charge ability. Personally I've never had it happen, our highest was 26, but still it can happen!

Has the component quality been improved? This was my biggest issue (the old washed-out art a close second) with the game. I'd love to see thicker, higher quality cards. With the base game even the shrink wrapping had damaged many cards.
i haven't seen the final production on the new expansion, just a prototype, so i can't say

rahdo i am sry it was vague. My question is this: if i buy the core set now with the old artwork how can i convert my set to the new artwork in the future if i don't back this expansion on kickstarter and wait for it's retail version. Maybe i have to wait a little longer for an updated core set...
ah, gotchya. as i understand it, if you have the retail version, you can take a picture proving that you own a copy, and provide that to them when backing the new WE set, and they'll send you the updated cards for $10 IIRC

I am super impressed by the art this time around. The original is very meh to me, but hubby loved the gameplay so I dealt. But wow, excited they put some more money into making the art pop. It actually looks quite gorgeous and exciting to play.

My top one 1 to 3 players Game ! I just love it !

The old graphic design is LOT better in my opinion. The new one is too cartoonish and the font is too modern. I do prefer the vintage fantasy style of the first edition.
I have to kind of agree. Mostly I think the font is too small in the new ones and the cards just look kind of bland :S
