If you are in America and struggling to find rhubarb its that weed with red sticks in your back yard that just wont die.

Nice touch to have a recipe at the end. I also recommend good old custard with rhubarb crumble. For a more posh version you could mix in some strawberries with the rhubarb to make rhubarb and strawberry crumble.
This fixes my biggest issue with Dominion, which is that it does not have Rhubarb Crumble.
Would love an updated vid now that many expansions have been released!

Would be lovely if you all would give Edge of Darkness a full length review video sometime. It's back on kickstarter with its third expansion, and such clever design really deserves another look!
I really hope you guys are making the switch to TH-cam. Not just for monetary reasons. I just really think you guys need more exposure and TH-cam is really the best way to make that happen. As great as your website is nobody will discover you through it. And I really want people to see your stuff.

I love quinns opinion on the theme. The biggest complaint I've heard of this game is the theme being lame. I have been searching for someone to voice my opinion here!
Instead of making the crumble from flour, try rolled oats. Much better that way!

Or, or...combine oats with flour. Making sure the brown sugar to flour/oat ratio is 99:1.

The game is ok. There are less options for combos than in other card building games and it feels like not involving so much strategy. It's a Shane I really wanted to live this game because of the idea and the theme.
We will keep playing Dominion.

Mystic Vale completely entranced my when I played it at first. I love the theme and mechanics. Contrary to what was said in this review it is important to place your card slots strategically. Building powerful combos on one card is unique and very satisfying to pull off. However, I find that the game can have a problem with snowballing. If one of the players gets enough cards that allow them to draw big hands, they start picking up their choice of the best cards since the other players don't have the resources for them.
It can be countered but oftentimes it's very obvious who is going to win, which can ruin the fun for the other people at the table.
Lovely review, will definitely put it on the wish list. Also loved the rhubarb crumble bit (especially the 'don't make it salty, it'll be weeird' for whatever reason), but it reminded me of this song: th-cam.com/video/3rcPV8fnkQo/w-d-xo.html

Played it once and have no disire to play it again. It was way to random. You buy a lesser card and reveal a better card for your opponent and he takes it. I could draw 3-5 cards on my turn and other drew 5- 9 cards on their turn..... We had a runaway leader aswel he had almost as much points as the other 3 players !!!!!

Seriously, as an American, I was shocked and offended a while back when I watched an episode of Great British Bake Off in which the contestants were tasked with making traditional American pies. The judges then got onto them because they were too sweet. They actually said that Americans make these (traditional American) pies too sweet, and therefore making them the American way was actually bad baking. Can you imagine them saying, "Indian people don't know how to make traditional Indian food; this is the correct way?" If you don't like American desserts, don't ask them to make American desserts!

I bought this game when it came out with one of the expansions ages ago and I’ve only played it once or twice personally I do not like that game it looks good and feels good but it’s boring

Mystic Vale is rubbish. Imagine if Splendor was a push-your-luck game that went on way too long. No decisions. No combos. No tension. Argh. I would suggest we kill this game with fire, but I fear those toxic plastic cards are fireproof! TEDIOUS! In other words, I didn't like it.
