@@AK.__ Oh trust me, I've tried giving actual Financial Advice...it's just that you must adapt your advice to your audience. You know how poorly my videos of me trying to give actual Financial Advice go? Exactly. At the end of the day man, Cars in general are just awful financially and all us car guys know that lol.
So when you take that grain of salt, you have to adjust the advice for the people who still want to "Enjoy their life" as a car enthusiast.
Otherwise my actual financial advice would've been similar to Scotty Kilmer or Dave ramsey which would be, "ENDLESS MONEY PITS!!!" Being a car guy is an endless money pit lmfao. I will become such a bore if I just give true financial advice while also maintaining a connection my mostly Car Enthusiast audience. That would make me become jaded and disconnected with them. I get it, they're young, so am I, we all want to live a little, but there are smarter ways to do so....even if the whole thing itself still is a little stupid. Cause like I said, no matter what, "We're all just endless money pits"

@@BladedAngel You basically very right here...need to adjust to target audience, otherwise it will be lost. Scotty is very dramatic, his content is good for people who needs the mean of transportation and not a car. My philosophy is; if I can't buy it in full and have some extra, I won't buy it yet. 25% of my pay checks go into a savings account, I pay for my bills and such, then the rest basically goes toward my car. I also never let my main account go under $1000. I have a list of mods I want to do to my car and I buy them as I get the the money, step by step. Although there are definitely times that I wish the process would go faster.

PayPal’s 6 month 0% is awesome too. Obviously, it’s really similar to the pay 4 thing, just with two extra months. I try to only finance stuff when I absolutely need to, but I have used the PayPal program to update my wardrobe on an occasion or two when I didn’t necessarily want to be out $400 for something that needed to be done, but wasn’t pressing. Plus you have the added security that PayPal offers. Also I have been denied for pay in 4 programs before. Not sure what that was about. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Pay-in-4 is possibly going to become a very, VERY bad idea in the near future. These "loans" are not currently reported to the credit agencies, but they are looking to change that due to predatory practices. They way they're talking, each P-I-4 will be considered a new opened line of credit, then when it's paid off, it will show as a closed line of credit... and if you know anything about how credit ratings work, this could potentially be disastrous.
It still boils down to the age-old adage... if you can't afford it, don't buy it.

Right Lane is exit Lane, left is passing lane, I can sit in the middle lane if I just want to go long distance (was going 565miles this video, well I only show half of it, other half was a few vids back). As long as I don't sit in the left, you're fine in America. Why would we sit in the far right if it's filled with trucks that will chip up my paint? and have cars merge into me from on ramps and people brake check me going off exit ramps?
Middle Lane "hogging" isn't a problem in the US since our highways are designed differently. Also we're wayyyyyyyyy more spread out than EU is...need I have to link a map showing the US size compared to any Country in EU? Look at how empty the roads I'm driving on. I have been watching this channel on and off for a few years. About 4 years ago I started working to build my credit, and I found BladedAngel along the way. I followed a lot of the financial advice you gave and a lot from financial channels and I'm on my way to having a great score and I've now bought my dream car (Elantra N). It takes time planning and effort, but you can get there if you are patient and make the right decisions. So thank you Bladed. And to those seeking their dream car, I encourage you to continue to figure out what YOU really like while you build your finances. The Elantra N is not what I would have bought 4-3 years ago, but I drove other cars in that time and really pinned down what it was about cars that made ME happy. Happy hunting friends.

Tons of great info here and can absolutely confirm that credit cards is the better way to increase your score. Another tip, let about 2% of your total available credit limit (across all cards) post to your monthly statement before paying it off. Make sure to do this on your card with the highest limit so it doesn't hurt your cards available credit limit percentage. This helps show responsible usage habits but the key is "usage". If your balances always show as 0 every month, it's the same as not using the card so it doesn't help as much. Car loans are very important though if your goal is to ultimately have a dream car. You can't expect to be approved for a 180k car loan when all you've had is a 10k car loan. You have to build up to it by getting a larger and larger car loan each time. This helps show the banks that you can handle it and increases your chances of getting approved.

What I do with payments for something I want is tie that thing to an activity that I should be doing to hit a goal so that way it be employed as a reward.
For example, if you're looking for a job then your goal might be to apply for 3 jobs a day. Each time you hand out an application, put a dollar in a fund for something you want. When you get a job then you can spend the money. I'm 125 days in (Yes, I journal it) to a goal and I've delayed buying some items I want that cost a few hundred dollars because I want to tie that item to a reward; it trains my brain for delayed gratification and the resultant increase in confidence and character that comes with it.

I've been having a credit card for like 2 years and I have about a 730 credit score, would it be smart to put like an 8k down payment and get a loan like 10k to build my credit variety? Lookin to buy like a newish camry or civic or accord. It would be my first car, and i'm looking to have a 24 month max loan

  • @odeo5691

    Here’s some credit advice:
Get a credit card. Spend to 9%. do not go over. And try not to go under but it’s still better than over. Keep it around there and pay it off when asked I usually do double the payment. Then get a second card. Do the same with it. I started at a $200 credit limit. With around 500 ish score from being new. Now I have a $9600 limit with a 780 credit score that is still rising each month or so.
And for the love of god do not max out a credit card. You will screw your score to (and I’ve seen friends and family do this) to 200-300. You will only get high interest loans and building credit will be hard because your credit card will not be able to be used. You won’t get approved for another and the fee’s will power slam you into a wall. And it’s difficult to get out of. Just be smart and don’t spend what you can’t pay back.
I am currently using about $900 which is about 9%. I have the money in the bank to pay it off immediately if needed. Safety nets are of highest importance. If I messed up my score at the start I wouldn’t be anywhere near 780 score at my age. Please be smart and don’t spend money you don’t have. Because I am paying for my Toyota Corolla with 0% interest. While someone with a bad score buying the same car in the same place would get 10-20%. It’s amazing how it works.

Who the fuck would take 29% apr on a car loan? I always get loans to get cars. I get 5-7% and my credit isn't crazy good(690-710).
Also, I've never heard of anyone tanking 50-100+ points for anything other then students loans. Even then it's usually at most 100 points. You usually need something more to get a drop that big. Like a write off or super late payment. I just bought my first house and my credit only dropped 11 points.

  • @jamesferguson3401
    @jamesferguson3401 ปีที่แล้ว

I don’t ask my girl permission I just get tf shit. I make the money but what’s my money is hers too. I work all day but she does a great job taking care of the house and kids and she left her job when she got pregnant and she said she loves being a stay at home mom. So by her doing her part and me doing my part we both make the money if you see what I’m saying. So I just give her her amount of the money but when don’t spend over the budget. But I let her know when I’m paying for something like that just bc we both need to know where we stand financially. And if something is over our budget we have a talk about it to see if we’re able to pay me (me by the item or her by the item) if we can’t then I let her tap into my budget or she lets me tap into hers. For example say she has a weekly budget of $100 and I have the same. If what I want is $150 we talk and if she’s okay with it or is able to she will let me tap into her budge. This my budget is empty and she’s down $50 out of a $100. Or another option we do is just put the money to the side so if the item I want is $150, i put to the side $25 out of my weekly budge. So weekly budge being $100, 100-25=75. So I still have $75 remaining for the week. Do that every week until the $25 I take out reaches $150 then I buy the item. And she would do the same. However whatever option we decide (unless it’s only coming out of our personal budget) we let the other know just so both of us knows the money flow so we both know where we stand financially. However even if the item is only taking out of our personal budget we log it down in the notes app on our desk top so that way I have a log of everywhere the money goes just so there’s no misunderstandings. We both can look.
The thing about being a 1 income household if we treat it as our money and not my money and treat her fairly with the money and whatever restrictions you give her you abide by yourself (hold either to the same standard) then it’ll work. But whoever the bread winner of the house is gets and ego about things. That’s why so many marriages fail bc of money

Never took a student loan or went to school. Now in blue collar making 32/hr building a widebody genesis coupe. Not the most expensive car but have 2.9% paying 156/m for it. Built credit with my card and took a 2k loan out just to build it. Then 2 years later got my car for low interest. I agree alot of people don’t know what credit really is, i had no co-signers and worked my way up and got a cheaper sports car that’s got custom size Work wheels. And im not ever short on money. And I do believe they do care a little on the loans greater than 700 ish. I say this because i noticed on one of the credit score sites (expedian) mentioned it, But I have no idea because credit scores are were developed by some coked up business guys in the 80s. Just waste your time waiting so that you might be able to get what would be useful to you or make you happy. Yea because we all have as much time as we want and need in life. I agree with your point on financing a car and not being fucked by the bank, but If I have 2k in the bank and my cart of car parts is 4k and I can make 4 payments on it while I earn the money for them I’m gonna get the parts now so I can have and use the as much as possible. I’d rather die broke and happy in having acquired and used the things I want in life than to die rich having not spent anything on what would have brought joy to me.
