Morning Scott, I really enjoyed the different spots you filmed at for this video, even the meet I thought it was fab ! different views from the Walton House. CSX was busy that day! Stay safe near those tracks, it so appreciated what you film for us to enjoy. See you soon! ❤🥰👍
Another awesome video. Scott and I see that helicopter has been down through there too trimming those trees back at least on the side you was on JT got a good shot of it yesterday up there on the hill of the rat hole but anyway, my friend you stay safe and watch your back and have a good weekend and we’ll see you on the next one
Good made video, mr 1960 Gambit. After the Crescent to Walton and then you have to make a choice NS or CSX. I find you make the good choice to watch CSX on the short line. Thx for this video 🚆🚆👍💪👍💪👍👌🚆. Greet from a windy and rainy and cold Zandvoort the Netherlands.
Thanks Robina. I was pretty close to CSX but they run so slow through there that it`s not a big deal. NS flies though, so I try to stay back at least 50 feet just in case! Lol Have a great Saturday!
I don't mind the long distance shots. They should put up a railfan tower in the middle of the yard to get both sides of the action. Appreciate it much, thanks Scott!
That would be cool, but I doubt they would ever do it. Walton wants to sell the Gaines House because they don`t want to maintain it. The got federal money to fix it up, so I don`t think selling it is an option now unless they want to pay the feds back.
The NS mixed manifest was rather short. At the same time, the CSX was a long mixed manifest. It was working hard and the locomotives sounded awesome! You did a nice job trying to catch both at once. Thanks, Scott! 😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤
Thanks Gary. I really wished I could have been down at the bridge to get an over and under, but the signal NS calls out coming North is only 2 miles away and they are running close to 50 mph and the CSX signal coming South is less than 2 miles away so there was no way this old man could have run back there and got it! Lol
AWESOME VIDEO. Thank You for working to make sure we get to see those trains!👍👍 I need to catch some CSX ACTION. I have been getting a lot of NS. I like NS, but would like to catch some CSX when I am out shooting!
I like both, but NS seems to have more foreign power. If you want big time CSX action, head up to Greenwich, Ohio. They get 60 to 80 in a 24 hour stretch there. 15 miles North of Mansfield.
Terrific norfolk southern and csx video on TH-cam keep up the great work and can you do a video at a railroad diamond area please because I think the best area to watch trains is the diamonds, this is Isaiah wiley from myrtle Beach south Carolina saying hello, thank you and good luck 👍 😀 😊.
I noticed on the first train that the tree branches are starting to grow over the tracks. It was almost hitting the cars. Who's responsibility is it to keep the trees trimmed back? Railroad companies or city?
Railroad. I saw one of those helicopters with the saw that hangs under it flying around down there on Thursday trimming trees on NS. It was wild looking!
At around 5pm this evening...20+ grain cars are on the ground in West Mansfield, OH.....County rd 142 is CLOSED for now....90 car CSX Rail Grain Train..
At least on this part of the CXS line the trains seem to go pretty slow. Not just this train, but nearly all of them. Is there a reason for that, Scott? Is there a speed limit? 😊😊
I think it`s about 35 mph, but I`m not sure. The CSX line goes over a very high bridge over interstate 75 about a mile and a half South of this spot. I suspect that is why they take their time because if the train derailed on that bridge over the highway, it would be devastating. That bridge is over 100 feet high. I wish I could film it, but there isn`t anywhere close that you can get to it to film.
Is this an instance where ya wish you had eye's in the back of your head lol. Which way do I film which way do I film lol. But you make the right choice I'll take a manifest over racks any day.
Me too. The trouble is we have so many auto and truck plants within 500 miles of us, we get a ton of autoracks through here every day. Them and intermodals.
Super catches Scott! Its always good no matter what track you pick! Great video!
🚂🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃💯👍🇺🇸
Thanks Jim!👍
my new most favorite song , thank you ,, the last train blue sky white puffy clouds spring green landscape and a bright yellow UP lookin pretty good
Thanks Tom, I`m glad you liked it!

Thank you, Scott for the fabulous video from such a picturesque location. I love your videos! Please don't stop. 😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks Gary! I will keep them coming!
@@1960gambit I certainly hope so. 🙂🫠😊
Great trains and two at once too! Gaines house is a good spot. Heart attack is NOT allowed. Take care Scott. Thanks for the video. ❤
Thanks Margie. Don`t worry, I am not going to have a heart attack! I don`t get energetic enough anymore for it to be a problem! Lol
Awesome catch, Scott, thank you very much.
Very welcome, Ivan. I`m glad you liked it!
A fairly long NS grain train followed a good CSX intermodal. Both were very nice trains, Scott! Great catches, and I thank you. 😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤
You`re very welcome Gary!

I saw the chopper when I was there, but it wasn`t close enough to get a video of. I kept waiting on it to get close, but it went South! Lol
Good made video, mr 1960 Gambit.

hank you Roelof! I was kind of stuck when both those trains came at once, so I did the best I could. Hope your weather gets better real soon!
Great shots, Scott. Watch out for ticks after wading through those weeds. Especially those little bitty deer ticks.
Thanks John. I`m always on the lookout for those little pests!
Awesome! That’s pretty cool when 2 show up at once but hard to 🎥
I need an E bike! 😂
Ohh you seem very close to the tracks today. Keep safe. Most enjoyable video. Many thanks.

So funny cause just befor mentioning dirt bike i was scott needs a ebike ...lol . Ktm 690 enduro i recommend ... enjoy everyone
Right on! I need one of those or a scooter for sure!
One of the best places where you catch trains! Actually liked watching the one thru the trees. Gave a total different look!
Thanks Libby! 😁
What an awesome spot, in between NS and CSX.
I really like going there, even though it`s a 54 mile drive one way, it`s worth it!

I will try to do that. I have a playlist from Marion, Ohio that is nothing but diamonds. Marion has 8! Check it out. 😁
OUTSTANDING location. I need to check that place out. Maybe bring my lunch and a chair. Is it usually pretty busy there?
It`s a lot like Glendale. You get a few, then you can go hours with nothing going by.

Yea I heard you about this old man running I'll be 68 in January and with copd I'd be taking a dirt nap before half way lol.
I`m 64 in October. Running is just a memory now! Lol
