I like how this jig works and the owners operating manual is the best in the business. This video adds clarification to the why’s and why not questions one may encounter. I generally use my 7/16” router guide bush and verify my actual depth of cut with my set of brass measuring blocks for easy repeatability than the pencil line. Brilliant jig and easy to use in my limited experience. I can’t wait to start using this jig for more than my basic through and half blind dovetails and explore its many other uses. I’m glad to see your company update the video series with more content.

That helped. I don't currently have the jig but want one.

Great information. Thanks for posting this information on a updated media format and for making accessories to upgrade my D4 to near D4R operation. I still have the VCR tape that came with my jig just no longer have a VCR player.

I'm figuring out my new D4R Pro, this video was a big help. What I can't figure out though, is why you can only use a bit that is 1/2" diameter.
Also, why does the angle matter?
Also again, I'm using the E7 bushing. The manual says to set it to 10 for HBDT and leave it there. What it doesn't explain is what orientation on the router to align the mark on the bushing. My festool router doesn't have any alignment marks on the bottom to line it up with. What I ended up doing is lining it up to the approach direction going into the fingers. Is that right?
