I am doing my research in undergrad on this and it falls very close to my heart and is very evidence based. I used "misuse/use" instead of "abuse" and "alcohol use disorder" instead of alcoholism. I love how you mentioned referring patients to a recovery program, as that is SO important.
Your explanation is very clear even for a non-medical person like myself. Someone very close to me (a relative) has been diagnosed with cirrhosis. What is the usual amount of time a person with this condition can live?

A full bladder increases the risk that we might injure the bladder when inserting the needle into the abdomen.
