- This is how I got into collecting coins in the first place!
I have a big mix of old and foreign coins collected from holidays/car-boots and eBay!

I also collected coins as a young kid 5 or 6 years old. My mom worked at the local bank and would bring me foreign coins and rolls of pennies. When I had a birthday or got good grades at school my mom would give me a silver roll of dimes or silver dollars. This was early 1960's and my collection grew quickly. Thanks for sharing nice to see what started it all for coin collectors. There are no Ike half dollars those are dollar coins, I am sure it was just a slip of the tongue.

+Backyard Bullion awesome colletion you have. In general your coins are in great shape and some of them have an amazing tarnish look. In the first album you shown, I saw some portuguese coins (escudos) and that did make me become nostalgic because was primarily with those coins that I started my numismatic collection. What a really neat collection! Love all the world silver! Love the crowns, its funny how depending on where your from, what seems rare. Those crowns are rare to me being in the states, but the states coins I see all the time. Terrific collection my friend! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for the comments! I love the crowns but the American coins are really some of my favourites! Shame they aren't as common! I really want to get a date run of all the walking liberty half dollars but they are so expensive to ship from the USA! Hardly any available in the UK!

How are you finding the album? I bought a Schulz recently but within days I was noticing verdigris developing on several coins! Do you clean the coins prior to storage? I might go through all mine and dip in acetone before storing again, or laboriously stick them all in 2'x2' holders and then folders. Nice collection!

Awesome collection! I have a question though. I am starting a collection of large foreign silver coins (ones made for circulation) and I am stuck on the crown. Since I live in America, they’re not readily available at LCS’s.. so I am trying to get one off eBay. My question is, what is a reasonable price for a full crown that’s in ok condition and a common date. I see a wide price range on ones even from the same year.
