Universities should not have politicians as Chancellors. Similarly all top level appointments in the universities should be non political and purely academic. If popular governments take control of the universities higher education will suffer a lot. President may promulgate an ordinance if this matter takes a different turn , bringing all universities under the control of repective governors in the States for the good of higher education. If the State assembly passes a bill against post of President or PM or Governor, and if the Governor does not sign it for the second time what will the courts say. ? Courts are of the opinion that undue delay should not be there in the decision of the Governor. This is applicable to the courts too in our democracy. How are cases pending for years ? Who is responsbile for this ?

If a minister for education is appointed from the one of the elected MLAs at State level and MPs from Union level.. how come Chancellors can be immune to be elected/selected by a govt . Chancellors have choice but to buy the guidelines given to them by the UGC or any education commission that is working under the directive of the Minister responsible for it..
Governors are not reporting to president. They report to Home Minister and they in essence will act on the whim of the home minister.. in this case, we have highly educated and politically motivated Homie Shah who can tell anything he wants and RSS Ravi ambitious about gaining a VP post..is dancing to his tunes..
Governors are not Viceroys Dumbass.. Go check article 200 from the constitution about these areas.. Governors at the end of day under the payroll of a Home Minister and the President is another elected rep of the parliament.. no one are above law or constitution.. The pending cases are not because judiciary is not functioning but there are also million other reasons to it..

No, Honble Governor won't call back the bills or Home Ministry would send back to Honble Governor the bills to sign and put an end to this national controversy. Legal luminaries say they are not bothered or pained by the Honble SC suggestions, observation or orders. Because, this is a different Govt, they say. Let us wait and see.
