At 73 yrs and as a former member of the NOI and having coming thru the first and now listening to this brother…I am in tears. The Imam is so right…we have no leaders in our communities. My 4 kids will not return to the deen until they hear themselves coming from the Ummah. My Allah protect and continue to bless you my young brother…Imam you have written my story…Allah-u-akbar! Keep your ear to the ground…

This Brother is keeping it real or, for, lack of another term, "calling a Spade a Spade!" People constantly point fingers at the indigenous (African-)American Muslim community but do nothing to really help them or to help anyone but themselves! It is time for us to look in the mirror and truly be the one single united Ummah Allah spoke about and the Prophet, sal alllahu alaihi was sallum, put in action! We need to reflect on The Prophet frowning on the blind man, the next time one as an immigrant Muslim does not Salaam an African-American Muslim merely because of the color of the skin. We need to reflect on the statement of Iblis that he is better than us because of his physical makeup when you as an immigrant Muslim look at the darker skin Brother differently than you do a Muslim of lighter shade - or, even worse -. bend over backwards for someone from your country who sells haram items and almost never attends the masjid over a Muslim of color who frequents the masjid and is sincerely trying to seek the Face of Allah! t Not to mention, coming over to this country and never asking the African-American who has been in the U.S. for over 400 years how to establish Islam in the West but feeling you were sent here to each the (poor, little) African-American an Islam he practices better than you do , for he freely attempts to give up his previous cultural practices whereas you mic the two! What part of Islam is that?

I am a Muslim revert that is Afro-American that has been Muslim a long time now Alhamdulillah.I ran across this video and the brother is saying things that I think but usually keep to myself. It's disgusting to see how racist some Muslims really are. People forget that the first racist was Shaytan himself!!!! " I am better than him." Subhanallah we need more talks like this. I hate to say this but it's true: I'm happy I learned about Islam before meeting Muslim or I probably would not be Muslim. All the examples and experiences this brother communicated are things I have experienced or seen from Texas to Riyadh!!!! May Allah remove the sickness of racism and systematic racism from the face of the earth. Ameen!!!

I don't understand why is this a surprise. The Koran has racism towards back people. Didnt Mohammed say the devil looks like an Ethiopian.

@@donparker1530 what's the falsehood? The Trans Saharan/Indian Ocean slave trade? Or the Surah that Mohammed wa openly racist to black people. What about Mauritania and any African nations stating they aren't going to address the issue of slavery because per the Koran is it justified to enslave black people. Just let me know and I'll give you're own sources they back up my claims.

Wasn't there an Indian Ocean slave trade and Trans Saharan Salve trade created by Muslims? Many arts of Africa the Arrabs are called "Whites" so the aspect that its Euro Centric is not entirely correct.
