The army has ruled this country since the death of Qaid and yet every citizen is under the impression that they are free.
Try same language in any Middle Eastern country against Arab rulers, or just try same langguage in China against Chinese ruling party, or just try to use such language against American CIA, FBI or NSA as visitor inside USA....they will ripp off your every single thing down to your DNA before sending you behind bars. Yeah establishment rules every where they dictate their terms. Pakistan will remain under this influence due to it's geographical and geo strategic location.

Pakistanis are utterly free to share family pictures of COAS with his wife and sons while they were having dinner. Pakistanis are utterly free to call them publicly Mir Jaafar, Mir Saadiq, Ghulam, traitor, Neutrals, and won't even spare Corp Commander Quetta along with his fellows who sacrificed their lives during flood relief operations in Balochinstan, and several trends were generated only to use foul language against them. Your favourite leader is utterly free to damage reputation of any politician, judge, bureaucrate, journalist, general by creating slanderous accusation without a single dam proof....And you so called educated folks believe in this shit....!!! Problem with mindset such as yours is the immense desire to see Imran Khan back on PM's seat and Usman Buzdar and CM Punjab again. You wanna see again Hareem Shah's kick by which she opened doors of Foregin Ministry's office, and wanna see characters like Sheikh Rasheed as Interior Minister again. Good luck....but that ain't gonna happen again any time soon.

The only country (maybe Egypt or Myanmar are others) where army appointment is so much politicized. Otherwise it should be no different than a Nadra chief or wapda chief changing
I dont understand why the army chief can't be appointed by the army itself? Why does the PM have to appoint the COAS? The fact that the PM can appoint the COAS points a lot of conflicts of interest.
@@samik3184 Because the Army is subservient to the executive/PM, not independent. The executive/PM is an elected individual. By extension, it's the will of the people that decides these appointments. This is how most, if not all, democracies make these key appointments. Leaving it to within the institution means you're leaving it to non elected individuals who may or may not be ideologically driven and choose their successors accordingly. That risks turning an institution into a quasi parallel state body. Executive institutions and bodies must be on the same page. This is the best way to ensure that.

Pakistan army is just all show. In a real war there Kappan tang rahee hain.. They are mostly in it to make money and get plots. UK has an army of less than 50k compared to 500k+ of Pakistan yet there is no match. There is a reason for this and it is technology. Pak army still uses old 50s technology. This is complete bogus... The truth regarding the appointment of the COAS of Pakistan Army was revealed by Hamid Gul. Lt Gen Hamid Gul himself stated that in Pakistan, the COAS is appointed by 🇺🇸Americans.

LT GEN (R) ASIF YASEEN MALIK Told in this VEDIO that, there is no qualifying Exam among the candidates who are most senior & eligible for COAS. I think COAS should be appointed through qualifying exams. It should not selected by Chief of Army staff or PM. By this way no political interference & personal liking can effect on selection of COAS. There is a need to amend constitution of appointing Chief of Army staff. Powers of PM to appoint Chief of Army staff should be remit from constitution & it should convert in an examination system to get more intelligent COAS for the betterment of Pakistan. By this procedure the Selected COAS will be a more neutral & more effective & he will be highest capable and independent in their decisions for the betterment of Pakistan. This procedure will also help to groom our democracy & democratic leaders.

Military is different thing. From outside, civilian don't understand this institutions. Military intervention in Pakistan politics isn't good but Pakistani politicians are highly responsible for this. Imran Khan case is different but I think he did a stupidity also. Defence Minister should be a person from defence who understand defence. He will not only improve the Defence but he will be the bridge of Civilian and Military leadership.

Retirement means retirement thats it. 2nd thing is when you put military officers in civilian post they help military to take control of civilian departments in coups. In big democracies think of uk, usa india how many retired military officers work in top civilian posts. Other thing is will military allow a 22 grade retired civilian officer to be appointed on them??

Turkish Defense Minister is General (Retd) Hulusi Akar. Russian Defense Minister is Army General Sergei Shougu. I can give you lots of example. You should build up you IQ. Defense Minister should be from defence because he know defense quite well. He knew defense functions and approach. This is normal common-sense.

COAS is not big deal in whole world its just same as 20 or 21 grade officers but Pakistan change his COAS IS LIKE the whole world moves arround them.

Army within justice syst is very very strict, if they find you doing wrong than there is -0% chance that you will bribe or survive
