- From asking the then PM Nawaz Sharif and President Ghulam Ishaq Khan to resign, to selecting a caretaker PM and holding free and fair elections without ‘interference,’ the ISI played a key role during the 1993 general elections. In Episode 01 of TCM Up-Close, Lt Gen (R) Javed Ashraf Qazi shares his experiences as DG ISI and his relations with the then COAS, Gen Waheed Kakar, during the 1990s.
