Great info here! Ceramic coatings are amazing but not bullet proof!

Great review of Do's and Don'ts. Still can't believe some of the things people do to paint--it is a crime!

hahaha that's a good way to put it. The new Getgo wash by us is brushed and has monthly subscriptions now.

I would like to add to wash with a pH neutral soap of your choice. Touchless washes will do in the winter when that's your only option, but keep in mind that they use either a high alkaline or acidic solution to clean. Griot's drying towel is the best IMO.

So you'll add that, which of the 5 would you replace?

@@BlackoutTinting Who said anything about replacing? #1 was hand washing and I simply said "I would like to add to wash with a pH neutral soap of your choice" which I'm sure you'll agree with :) You misunderstood the reply.

The ending with the drying towel from griots through me off since drying was was another of the 5.

Is it good enough to go to coin wash and only use pressured water then dry with big microfiber towel? No soap, no mitt cleaning?

we have a video on that titled 'THIS is the correct way to prep a car for ceramic coating!' it's the same process but we add a ceramic booster/ceramic wash at the end.

Can ceramic coating apply side mirrors and interior display?

I bought a 3 year old Acura RDX that seems to have a very shiny and dirt resistant finish on it. Is there a way to tell if it has been ceramic coated? Also I have a bottle of NuFinish ceramic spray on polish that I was using on another vehicle. No harm in using that I assume regardless of whether my RDX is ceramic coated?

Coatings can last years. If you had it coated, adding other stuff might hurt the warranty but since you got it like that there probably isn’t any harm being done by adding something on top.

Had my car coated 5 days ago and it rained the 4th night. Took it for a drive in the morning and evertying dried up. How long does it take to get the water spots ? I hope and think im good? ;)

Well. How in the f AM I supposed to dry? Thanks for including that tidbit of info, I was really hanging on there for a sec. If your going to tell people what not to do, it would get you more likes if you included a solution. I don't think that there was a solution for the proper kind of wash MIT. Just, "don't use the wrong one" lol.

Wherever you got the coating at should have briefed you on what to do with it, we always do with our customers... unless you did it yourself hmmm

No thanks… I’ll stick to just properly washing the car and waxing every 3-6 months
