Great vlog. Don’t forget, in those ‘saddo’ moments, you have lots of advantages in travelling solo. The ability to change plans without consultation; always your choice of what and where to stay/eat/do.. 👌💙❤️
Yes, and I’m not sure how I would feel sharing my already limited space with another person. That’s the first thing I think when I see couples or families in a van.
Loving your channel and content, your very inspirational ,I live part time in my campervan Monday to Friday for my job and enjoy my park ups, looking forward to touring France next year and possibly down to Spain
I live in Turkey and travel with my van alone. In Turkey alone is the same as lonely, so as soon as I park up the people around me invite me over for a drink a meal or just a chat. Very difficult for a introvert like me.
Carly!!! I can't stop laughing!!! When you said that there was a "cycle path" in "Mojacar" I understood you saying that there was a "psychopath" in "Mojacar" and I got really concerned about your safety, and thought with myself "not another psychopath, poor Carly". I thought about going to Spain to scare away the "psychopaths" or hire security guards to keep you save from the "psychopaths". 😂😂😂😂😂 When I realized that you said "cycle path" i was relieved and questioning my hearing and understanding abilities. Stay safe, stay healthy, and stay happy, sweetheart! Pops
@TheCuriousCollective_Official I have an exclusive accent from Mars! BUT, people often think that my accent is from the Moon! Carly, your accent is lovely, love! Cheers Pops
In the early 90's l rode a motorbike through Spain & onto Morocco with my then fiancee, she had hair just like yours. It was a bleedin nightmare, if l left her alone for 2 mins she was harassed, men were literally hanging around us waiting/hoping for her to be alone. Your not just a woman but a woman they never normally see, you'd have to be sure you can put up with a lot of unwanted & very persistent attention.
Thank you for the first hand advice on that. I expereicned something similar in Turkey when I was 14 (this was before Turkey became a popular holiday destination for the brits). My Dad said he could have sold me several times over haha.
@TheCuriousCollective_Official l can imagine. 😁 Seriously, l am not a worrier, my daughter (23) worked in Egypt last year & is in the Maldives now, but if she was a redhead l wouldn't want her to go. It's bonkers isn't it? You need a travel companion in North Africa or to use accommodation for a bolthole IMO, not a van.
Hi, we love your channel and how informative you are about the places you visit. Keep up the format it’s great .Just a general question, do you plan to come back to the UK when your 90 days are up or travel somewhere outside the EU ?
I was in Morocco as a solo male traveling by bus and train, most of the time I didn't feel safe, I only felt safe when traveling with other people so I'd give that idea a big NO.
@@TheCuriousCollective_Official Mainly threatening, a couple of times when I didn't buy something at a stall the seller would swear at me. I had very little money, but the overall opinion was, "You're here, so you have more money than me, give me some." 🤷♀😊 Maybe in a group in your own van and camping in gated spots, it would be different.
Yes it is. I charge it when i’m plugged in to the mains at campsites, or I top it up in the van. When the sun is shining, the solar keeps putting enough juice in the batteries to manage.
That was a bit confusing . Shall i go to Morocco but I'm going to France? I traveled 3 months in Spain on my own back in the 80's. From New Zealand. I made a Great effort to get out of my Kiwi and listen to Spaniards so I could at least try and pronounce things the way they did. Another form of letting go. Check out on youtube Jared and Nina who are traveling morocco at the moment. Safe travels.
Don't go to Morocco on your own it wouldn't be safe for a solo female, even your van wouldn't be safe , not many safe parking places there , it was bad when hubby and I travelled many years ago due to work in a lorry and I don't think nothing would change. often there, We got attacked many times and police won't do anything, I even grab a police by the neck as he followed me into the toilets in Rabat as he thought 🤔 I was a a Moroccan female as I walked alone to the toilets in the port . Untill I showed him my passport and I told him and others in French that I wasn't a Moroccan, they leave me alone . But as soon as you get into the port of Rabat customs comes to inspect your van and their eyes are everywhere also other locals come to your van while you are waiting clearance at the port their eyes are everywhere too, in your van , If they see you solo they tell others . Then you get stopped in other areas for inspection and excuses . So watch out . Instead go to Gibraltar. That's a nice place just watch out for the monkeys 😅 take care .
Morocco or Albania? 🤔 check out is Morocco safe for women travelling alone in a camper van? Albania is safe just avoid Lazaret its a lawless town that produces Cannabis. They are hostile to tourists and the police. Don’t go there. There are land mines on the northern border near Kosovo and Montenegro so be careful if hiking in towns do not walk on uncultivated land or step of the marked paths. Sorry for the doom and gloom just be very careful lovely.🥰

I think going to Morocco as a solo female traveller would be a bad idea.

Thank you, I’m glad you’re enjoying it. Both France and Spain are very campervan friendly.
La Manga doesn’t disappoint. I went there around 20 years ago, sat on the beach looking outover the Mediterranean Sea eating an ice cream.

Hi - Ive travelled alone and often do things by myself :) Enjoy and have fun.
Thanks - I don’t usually have a problem doing things alone, I think I just noticed more in Spain.

Colourful lady 🙏
It's Kismet , just ordered a pizza and asked him to make me one with everything 😁😎
I Like your videos, and I like your accent, it reminds me of Betty in the old English comedy 🤣show "Some Mothers Do Have 'em".
Oh Betty 🤣🤣🤣

Thank you, glad you are enjoying. I am going home for Christmas this time but I am considering going outside of the EU for the next trip.
Mangushri Meditation centre…Ulverston Cumbria. Maybe of interest to you…love your videos 👍😀
Thank you - I’ll check it out

Thank you for the first hand advice. Was it theft or threatening behaviour etc that you experienced?

Hi Carley, are you heading toward Marbella by any chance, we will be in that area in about 8 days for 10 days would love to meet up?
Hey - No I didn’t get the time to head that far this time around. I’m heading North again now. Hopefully next time
I guess the bike is electric..? How do you charge it, if so?
Yes it is. I charge it when i’m plugged in to the mains at campsites, or I top it up in the van. When the sun is shining, the solar keeps putting enough juice in the batteries to manage.
@@TheCuriousCollective_Official Thank you, sounds just right... maybe time I bought one. I have a Brompton but not the electric one!
Watched your previous vlog about the e-bike which was very informative though shame you fell off!
Morocco? i would think that going to their as a lone female would not be the best experience.
