I watched this video while prepping for my Recruiting Coordinator interview for a contract role within a tech company. I landed the job in July 2021, and got converted to full time in February 2022🎉. I just accepted a job offer for another role within the same company. Thank you for helping me get my foot in the door!

    Excellent video, Amri!
You did a fantastic job🤩presenting the complete truth and addressing the most important aspects of this job.
As a senior RC I wholeheartedly agree with everything you've presented.
    Kudos!👏
Additionally, other duties in this role may include:
    - Conducting pre-screening calls,
    - Checking candidates' language skills,
    - Obtaining references or conducting background checks,
    - Managing online assessment tests (often for high-level positions due to the costs associated with such tests),
    - Managing feedback (sometimes also explaining to a candidate a reason for rejection of his/her application),
    - Performance reporting,
    - Maintaining confidentiality for applicants and company-wide (as some hiring managers and their team members may overlook GDPR rules).
    😘

Great video, I understand and value to importance of covering the questions and probable unforeseen questions and phrases that may arise. You used the phrase "GT" often during this video, and mention your past experienced during an interview, how you felt not knowing and/or being prepared for knowing certain phases. Your example was for KPI and ATS. I believe that it was important for you to describe what GT is before for you use that term, rather by assuming everyone would know or understand GT (General Task). Thank you for the video, very informative.

@@amricelesteinterviewcoach Amri, thanks a lot. I'm so happy that I watched your helpful video. I passed to the "case study" part. It has 5 stages but i got really confused by one: they gave me a job advert and tell me that I need to find 3 appropriate candidates "for a given brief" yet there is no brief or anything, just the job advert. Where can I find the candidates? I saw there are some websites out there to search for CV's yet I'm really confused and open to suggestions. I really want this job. If you suggest me a solution I'd be so glad, if not, still thanks.

@@damlaakcay5848 Hi Damla, I highly recommend you ask for clarity on this one as you normally need a paid subscription to most places you might search for candidates, and this would normally be offered by an employer after being hired.
They may be speaking about hypothetical candidates but I recommend asking for clarity.

I am a reserved introvert do you think that personality type can be a recruiter. I’m not shy but quite in mature and great with one on ones. Great listener I’m just wondering if an in house recruiter job is right for me.

    • @amricelesteinterviewcoach
      @amricelesteinterviewcoach  3 ปีที่แล้ว

Hi, short answer is yes - in-house is more of a consultative and hr (people) focused role, whereas an agency recruiter or recruitment consultant is a more sales focused role so if you enjoy a less less salesy and more resrved environment that is tied in to HR you may enjoy in-house. I'm planning a deep dive video on the Recruiter role in the next few months so do check back - thanks for asking!

    • @amricelesteinterviewcoach
      @amricelesteinterviewcoach  3 ปีที่แล้ว

I would say it depends on the company and reuqirements of the job - but I would recommend having a look for some classes you could do possibly online as more fluency may open up more opportunities.
You could also consider foundation level CIPD or any HR related qualification to boost your chances.

In terms of roles if you have no prior expeirnece you could start with entry level positions such as HR Coordinator or Assistant - I have a vide on this here th-cam.com/video/0IWNgrjcpfM/w-d-xo.html

The most commonly recognised qualification would be the CIPD, I would recommend probably level 3 or 5 (basic and intermediate) or possibly have a call with them and they can recommend the best level, but if you intend to stay on in HR or Recruitment this would be the most recognised qualification for those areas in the UK. Is a recruitment coordinator the same as a staffing coordinator?

    Hello Amri,
Can you explain the difference between a human resource coordinator and a recruiter? I am considering working with Adecco. From my knowledge, it’s a staffing company. They’re hiring for a human resource coordinator, is it the same as recruiting? Thank you.

Hi K, are you sure the position is with Adecco and not through Adecco? As in they are placing you in another company to work?
If it's with Adecco, internally, then it could likely be a human resources coordinator role, as although they are a staffing company they will still have an HR team / department.
In terms of the difference no, they are not the same thing - I cover this in my HR Coord video which you might find helpful, jump to 01:37 where I cover the important difference between HR and Recruitment - here is the link th-cam.com/video/0IWNgrjcpfM/w-d-xo.html
Let me know if this helps!

Can you succeed as an introvert in RC or being ''in house recruiter''. Can the confidence grow with the role? @amri

    • @amricelesteinterviewcoach

Hi Eva! yes definately - most In-House roles are within an HR fuction. An HR environment requires essential soft skills even as a Recruiter, additionally I know tons of successful recruiters with varying character and personality-types, some extroverted, some introverted, some blended such as myself - so you certainly can do well and enjoy the role as an introvert - if it's something you're interested in.

Can you give advice to us undergraduate psychology students who wish to pursue HR in the future? I am an HR intern at Consumerchoice (internship@consumerchoice.com) and your response will truly be of help. Thank you!

Hi Rubertha! There are a lot of different routes to develop from your internship into general HR and a lot of specialisms within that field (Recruitment, Employment Law, Learning & Development, Generalist etc)
I would highly recommend checking out the CIPD website for ideas on how you want to develop.
Or you can have a chat with their learning enquiries team (they're super-friendly!) and they can have a bit of a discovery chat with you to help you figure out which route you want to go. Their number is 0208 612 6202 Best of luck! Feel free to come back and update on your progress! Best of Luck!
