I bought the standalone Citadel version and i love it so much. Tho I realy really want deck of emblems but the special edition is way to expensive 😭 I really wish they will make a standalone set just like with the Citadel :(
Wow - that special edition is spectacular on so many levels, but way out of my price range, especially seeing I don't really have a way to put the game portion into play. The mass market version is definetly going in my collection - the possibilities as an oracle deck, especially with self reflection and writing are amazing. I really hope that bonus deck gets a mass market release one day because that is amazing too, but I can't justify $100 just for that.

I’m so tempted by it, but I also paid the $90+ for the special edition Seed & Sickle oracle of theirs that featured the Citadel as an exclusive bonus deck, and then here it is in an improved version some months later as a standalone. So I’m completely hesitant to support any more of their special editions for the “exclusive” bonus decks. But this bonus is so cool 😭💕
That's completely fair. My impression is that like the other SE bonus decks, there was no intention to develop it into a standalone deck until they got overwhelming feedback that folks wanted it in a standalone at which point it got developed int one. I've seen this happen in the makeup community a lot - something is released as a limited/special edition but is so overwhelmingly successful that they decide to make it permanent. Companies that do that for special situations - good. Companies that make a habit of it - smarmy. SO I get being cautious or feeling weird about it!

I have no experience with table top games but I was sooo taken in by the beauty of this collection and all it’s parts! Is there an option to play as a single player or will I hope to rope someone in? (Prob my husband, I’m sure he’d be thrilled 🤣💖)

I've become hooked on the Citadel oracle, that's for sure. I'm getting it. My question is, if I use the cards for divination and not as a game, can the special edition still provide much more than the regular edition, in that case. I too think this special edition is stunning, but I wish to know if, for my purposes, the acquisition would indeed be a must. Thank you in advance for letting me know your thoughts.
I ended up giving the game campaign to my son who runs D&D campaigns -- and still find a lot of value in the special edition for the extra deck - which I think is really innovative. So I think it comes down to... is the extra deck *worth* the price difference to you? If not, get the standard edition!
I was going to get the mm edition but now the special edition will be coming my way. Oh my, I can’t wait. My one question is can the game be played with out using another system? Because I haven’t played things like D&D in the past but I’m certainly open it. I just love the oracle and game aspect of this deck.
I may dislike you right now. I have not purchased any of Liminals special editions since I can get them mass market. I was sad when this this deck was part of another's decks special release and so then so excited I was going to be able to purchase a copy. Now yet another only in the special edition deck, emblems. I caved! 🧡
I will say I LOVE how they can be shuffled together.... it's definitely always worth evaluating if the extra deck is one you'll really use - but this one offered the most value/functionality/etc i've ever seen in one of these bonus decks. So glad i have the Deck of Emblems with all the cool mechanics. :D I put the combined deck through it's paces in my last Magickal/Badass Unicorn monthly readings and it performed SO well!

Fortunately there hasn't been much super enticing me lately so investing that amount of money wasn't as hard. Ouch! I do appreciate the free shipping offered on the limited editions though. I really like it! Both decks! But I hesitate because at the price all I feel like your getting 2 decks aside, is a token, a game book & a box. Doesn't seem worth the $90. Wish we could just buy the 2 decks! That's where I get hung up... I really like the the littler deck that goes with the Citadel deck. And idk if I can get this in the US....

I just had an idea, which you will probably find completely judgemental and maybe it won't be to your liking at all. How would you feel about rating the decks you review, e.g. from 0-10? You could have different categories: cardstock, art, simplicity to read... Again, I completely understand if that's something you don't want to do. I just thought it would make it easy to see at one glance what the decks you review are like and how you feel about them. Thank you for listening to my suggestion!
Hiya Arignon! That is a great suggestion - i think it would break my brain though. LOL I'm really bad at figuring out how to assign ratings like that.
