Thank you so much for such a great video tutorial. I saw someone had made one similar so she probably looked at your tutorial. I just love this idea and I’m gonna try it. I’m going to try and work out to do it on an A5 card, which is approximately 8.25“ x 5.25 I think. Thank you so much. X
So glad that you liked it. For those measurements I would change the height and only change the width by adding a 1/4" to the leftmost, non angled, section, so add a 1/4" to the total width, then add 1/4" to all the score lines. That should do it.
I’ve never seen this method before. It’s a beautiful card and I love the way you demonstrated it. I can’t wait to try this. Thank you for your great step but step instructions and measurements. I also need to try some 3D glue. I never heard of that before either! Love this card and video!!
Thank you for this handy tutorial you make this look really easy and it is a beautiful very special looking card! I really appreciate the trouble that you went to giving us all the measurements!
Hi, i am from The Netherlands and i love your card!!!😘☺️💝never have seen it this way!!! God bless you and all your loved ones!!! By the way....The Netherlands is in Europe and i live about 45 minutes from Amsterdam and about 20minutes from Rotterdam,...if you know Rotterdam. I love making cards esp. Yours and i use all your tips!!! May you be blessed with love and healthy!!!!🌺😘💝🙏❤️🌹😊💜love from Annemarie from Gouda in Holland. It is right now half past 1 in the night here...bye❤
Love this card design 😊 do you have the written instructions for this fold card!! I am new to this type of card design. Thank you for posting this beautiful design
I don't have a PDF instruction sheet, but for the 5x7 card the curtain fold solid card, in the example cards it would be the pink or teal card is 9.25"x6.75" score at 2.5, 3.25, 4.75, 5.5, 7, 7.75 then cut the angle from 4" from the bottom of the card to the first score line. The patterned paper on top of the curtain fold is just 1/8 to 1/4" in from the folded sections. I hope that this helps. I find the best way to use a video tutorial is to watch it through first and pause to take notes if you want to, then put it on again when you have all the supplies in front of you and watch one step, then pause the video and do that step, then watch the next step, pause while you complete it and so on until you're done.
Can you tell me please, what are the name of the flowers on the pink card, OR can you list the products you use with a link attached p? Thats helps SO much..I believe you said they were a Crafters Companion product. I also love Altenew.. I will have to try the new flowers. Beautiful cards! Thanks again.😊
The pink flowers are from Crafters Companion. It's from a decoupage collection. This particular one was called "Floral Spray". Sadly, I don't think this collection is available any longer.
Just seeing your channel. I really love this. Tried one like this before but like this one better, can't wait to try this one. Where can i get the syringe and glue?
Thanks and Welcome! Glad you found my channel and I hope that I can provide at least a little bit of inspiration. The syringe of glue is Collal 3D glue gel. I get it from Crafters Companion in the UK but I believe that Craft Stash also sells this. Get the box "with tools" so that you get the syringe. Please check out my video on how to use it though because if you don't do a couple important things it will dry out quickly and it'll be a waste. It's not difficult to take card of but you have to do a couple things to ensure you don't get any air in it.
The cards are just gorgeous. I want to start making cards and I'm slowly collecting something so I can start. Where would I find a mat like you are using that has the different sizes and dimensions on it?
My glass mat is from Crafters Companion. They sell it directly, or you can usually find it on Amazon too. Other companies make them as well. I know Tim Holtz has one. I like the one from Crafters Companion because it's a bit larger than most and I like that.
I use the 3D Collal Glue gel, which is what is in the syringe, because it gives me time to move things around if I don't get them in the right place and it gives me dimension without using foam squares and yes it is also really strong once it is dry.
It's a 3d glue gel, so when it dries it gives you dimension, as if you used foam pads. It's great to use when placing or piecing things together because it doesn't stick instantly so you have time to move things around. It's especially good when you're building floral elements because you can place the flowers and then lift them slightly to poke foliage in underneath. It does smell a bit, so I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who is sensitive to smells.
Sorry, here in the US we don't really use the metric system at all. You're not the only one who has asked about this, so if I have some time, I will try to work out the measurements in cm and add them in a new video.
Most people will not watch a video longer than 10-15 minutes so I try to keep it short and accelerate through things that are either repetitive or time consuming, like gluing layers of paper together. I try not to accelerate through the key steps required to accomplish the overall card design. Sorry if this doesn't work for you.
I’ve seen this curtain fold card in a lot of videos, but your card design is the only one that made me interested in making this card! Thank you.
That's so kind of you to say, thank you!
I agree with you too.

Lovely card I will give it a try I have to get some double sided paper what GSM do you recommend please I have 250 GSM I think might be to thick
I used 80 lb card stock, which is about 250 gsm. Just be sure to burnish well.

Thank you for the kind words!
I like it. Thanks for the tutorial 13:35

How does the glue in syringe work? Never seen it b4
It's a 3d glue gel, so when it dries it gives you dimension, as if you used foam pads. Beautiful ! Would help if you would work on dark paper easier to see what you are doing.. would also help with your glass mat glare !
Thanks for the suggestions. I'll give that a try
This is gorgeous. Is it convertible in 2:19
to an A2 size?
Yes, I did another video showing how to make it as an A2 card. th-cam.com/video/r0fTm4eOt44/w-d-xo.html
I found your update showing this card in an A2. Thank you. Perfect my my friend who lost her younger sister.
Bonjour j'adore votre carte mais difficile de la faire quand ont ne parle pas anglais donc je n'ai pas les mesures 😢
I have had a couple people ask about measurements in cm, so I have it on my list of things to figure out and edit my video to add, so keep watching.
Very very beautiful card love style of card thank you for sharing
THEOLA
Thank you! I'm glad you like it.
I watched and I watched, wrote down measurements and it didn't come out right. I have no idea what happened.
Were you using a 5x7 card base?
Dommage que vous indiquez pas les mesures en français et en cm merci d'avance 😮
Sorry, here in the US we don't really use the metric system at all. You're not the only one who has asked about this, so if I have some time, I will try to work out the measurements in cm and add them in a new video.
Pourquoi tous ces accélérés ? C'est pas un vrai tuto finalement
Most people will not watch a video longer than 10-15 minutes so I try to keep it short and accelerate through things that are either repetitive or time consuming, like gluing layers of paper together. I try not to accelerate through the key steps required to accomplish the overall card design. Sorry if this doesn't work for you.
Hello, carte beautyful, please dimension en centimètres, please,
Sorry, I don't ever work in cm, but I will give it a try when I get time and update my channel
