If the purple light doesn't flash, try using an sd card that's smaller than 32GB and make sure the file system format is FAT32. The Wyze camera is not compatible with other file system formats and anything larger than 32GB defaults to exFAT.
Thats a good point. The new and maybe V2 wyze cameras do support exfat up to 256gb I believe. Honestly I've never had to format a micro SD card manually with Wyze so it might auto format it. I use 64gb and 128gb cards in my cameras.
@@VanquishedAgain I only have experience with the Wyze V3. I had to manually roll back a firmware update due to video stuttering issues. I used a SanDisk 64GB micro SD card that was already formatted for exFAT but I could not get the purple light to flash. I ended up using Disk Management on my Windows machine to create a 1GB FAT32 partition on the SD card and that worked. Maybe the Wyze app formats it that way for you? Good to know though.
All the wyze cameras (I think) have an SD slot. You definitely want the SD card so it records locally. Wyze charges to access clips if you store them on their servers only. Uf you get a 32gb or or larger you can usually see at least a day of footage. Idk what I have in my exterior camera but I can see 4+ days of footage. It might be a 64gb but I know it's not bigger than that
I just bought a Wyze camera and I can’t get it connected to my Wi-Fi. I have the 5 GB Wi-Fi is there any way around it because it’s saying it’s not compatible with that can you help me?
@@nelliemorris6835 In setup. Your phone will have to be on the 2.4ghz network while setting it up so that the wyze camera connects to that one and doesn't try to connect to the 5ghz one.

You should split your wifi networks into 2.4ghz and 5ghz, then connect your wyze to the 2.4ghz one. That's what I had to do with all my smart devices
