@ There are rare exceptions like in any sphere of life, but only a FOOL would gamble on such odds against him, and remarkably the Philippines is a FOOLS paradise, the HONEY trap is all encompassing and alluring, like as a child parents would often say to there children, if you do not eat your dinner you will not get any ice cream or candy afterwards. I was a senior lecturer in China and Korea and my son in the UK is near 34 and half Filipino, but it is not a country we have any appetite to go back to, for instance if say the USA or the UK or European countries was to make a law stating no foreigners in our countries can own a property FREEHOLD or land solely in their names, it has to be 60/40% and the foreigners can only enjoy the 40%, that would be classed as unlawful and RACIST, so the Philippines not a great county to build a future with hope, as you would have to keep looking over your shoulders. Foreigners can not own land. But there are exceptions. Married to a Filipina or Filipino. There are several legal ways. Best to speak to an agent here. I tagged an agent in this video. She would be happy to help with any questions or concerns.

Thanks for your vids Britt. Quick tip regarding your sound level. If your editing software has sound setting, try to lower the volume of your voiceover until the spikes stops being red. A few orange ones are ok, green all good. This will enhance you audio a lot. Keep on creating content from the Philipines. Best regards from Norway

great find! plenty of fibbers on the comments saying you could live in makati for 68k (keep dreaming) you will not find a house in subv for 68k. or "build a house yourself" good luck! first time builders spend double their budget on this first construction project. these houses you show-cased are great value and will be sold out.
That is indeed a lower price than I was expecting. Looks great. Seemed quiet. 120 sqm is pretty big by US standards, very big for PH. Townhome also a nice place, great price. I don't think I'd be buying in PH however. Well done video, thanks.

There is no way we would ever rent, we didn’t put in all that hard work not to have the house we want. It would have been impossible for us to find what we were looking for on the rental market. Is it cheaper to rent than buy sure, did we work all those years to penny pinch in Retirement? Nope
Just by looking at the columns, I believe these are made using minimal costs. The columns (and you will want to check the beams), which are the main support for the house, are TINY. The stairs are very steep, so you will not want the two story when you are old. I personally would not touch these homes for the price. You are better off buying land and building your own.
It’s expensive to be honest, and why would you buy a house that looks like your neighbours house. It’s like marrying a Filipina that looks much like your friend’s wife.

My cousin married a Filipina 31 years ago. They built a house in Dauin. He is co-owner for it all. Co-ownership is real here. Names on all documents. Appreciate the feedback.

The problem is the first one is 7 million with none of the ammenties as shown in the model unit. The second unit all the room are super small for 68,000 usd. The master bedroom looked like a dorm room with the bed smashed in on all 3 sides. It may appeal to some, however for me I would keep looking.
Look around and you’ll get much more for that 125k Price .. Yes it’s new but I would never pay that price for that area with absolutely no yard and over an hour from IT Park. You can get a far better place in some areas a lot closer to Cebu with better quality built units. Most likely just a few years old.
These are only for OFW workers families and experts locals cannot afford these I've seen subdivisions here totally empty and bankrupt because people can't afford to buy them that's why everything is crashing
I prefer a Nipa hut in the jungle. Cook by fire, no water, electricity. Tuba, buwad, oton. Did this in the 80s. Even with the NPA running around. That's the Philippines I remember....

Great question. I've asked that question myself. Here's the feedback I've gotten: 1) prefer the beach 2) Do not like being in the sun 3) Can't swim 4) Like having lighter skin tone
There's no way I would buy a home in a sub division. A lot of these type homes are made with poor quality materials and about 5 years from now most of those homes will be abandoned. You should do your research first before recommending sub division homes to your subscribers. Look it up, it's a big problem in the Philippines.
Yessssssssssssss the less 85K is nice! I might consider when I go home.. before my retirement, not going to retire here in U.S. i'd still be still paying rent til who knows.. rather own one!

Sort of like having a history of my life here. Biggest thing so far is that I'm meeting great people through the channel.
The amenities alone are worth a few hundred $$, and your apartment has an abundant lighting from the outside. Very impressive and definitely worth living there.
Good video, but this is really bad value. All the homes you showed are super basic, tiny and, especially considering they were the show homes, very badly build and finished.
I would rent and invest those 125k If you would just get 10% You would have $12,500 to live a nice life and divide that $12,500 into a month. You would have more or less then $1,050 a month and just take out from tho $$125,000 funds to make up the difference

Nice presentation. But if it's really a 120,000 U.S.dollars, that would be about 6 million pesos or less in American money when you think of the exchange rate. Sounds pretty good to me..😊

I think I got it--$68k/$85k/$120k for various. Still seems way more expensive than renting. Developing world I would rent only (unless unique circumstances).
That good for the working class people. I wonder definitely if I am a foreigner we all know that we cannot own land but can lease or buy condo. I never buy as I will rent, but if I met a woman I love her, married her make a family, it will be my responsibility to make her and my children live comfortably when I live earth. I cannot bring anything with me when I am gone so I will buy the best thing for my family.
Why would anybody give up 20-30yrs rent to be deprived of the option to move to a better place if you can find one? (I can always find a better place to live).

So she is the owner… what about divorce? Dies… does it then pass on to her family? You might as well burn your cash! This is foolish!
A foreigner can own property here. If his Filipina passes he takes full ownership.

This is why you rent. There is no reason to buy when it is not a foreigner's home. These townhomes are small and lack space for normal living.

From my experience, these hopes are cheaply constructed with inferior materials and poor workmanship.
