My childhood food 😊 ... my mom is a big fan of Sukka Bombil and our maid when I was a kid in the 80s and 90s was from Rajapur, Ratnagiri ... 80% of this food was made at my place.

Maharashtrian cuisine has not been given its proper place in Mumbai resturants. It should be popularised and made available to ensure that coming generations also enjoy it.
They don't introduce because Marathi food will rule if available.

There are countless varieties of nonveg cuisines all over the Maharashtra... you'll find many of it compiled in Mumbai over different restaurants.. but I would like to suggest to visit the authentic places in Maharashtra to taste n not just in Mumbai... like Sahuji in Vidarbha, Khandeshi Jalgaon Dhulia, Spiciest Black Gravy in Marathwada, Kolhpauri Lal Tambda Rassa, Konkani sea Food and many many more...
Marathi Cinema has reached worldwide due to contribution of few celebrities and one of the promising name behind it is THE MAHESH MANJREKAR

Great episode. My favourite film personality Maheshji.. his small role in Damini serial, Vastav is Master piece. Kunalji, your episodss are treat to eyes ( i don't eat non-veg, but love seeing it).
Mahesh Manjrekar, is indeed an all rounder, he is not only a great Actor & Director but an equally capable Chef, which is an additional quality in him, which justifies his all round status.

I have also observed that famous & successful Cricketers, ultimately end their Career & move in the direction of opening Hotels & Restuarents.

In dry fish v hav bombil, vaakti, khaara baigan, soda batata, jawla , prawn bhindi, prawn vatana
Beereed sprout or chauli beans with bhakri is awesome
dried fish is my favourite
In our Khandesh too, we relish lot on dry fish with Brinjal, potato etc etc...

Amazing video with Maheshjis new venture as '#SukhaShukhi' , just to notice when you mentioned Gavar sabji is known as French beans, it actually a 'Cluster Beans' in English, it is one of my favourite 😊, and when Solkadhi is not pink but peach coloured; when Maheshji mentioned it is added with beet root, ideally when I make it at home it is deep pink due to added Kokum juice, a staple of Konkan 😊, loved the video though, Keep Eating 😜😊

This food and its character from basically Jaitapur region of Kokan, Maharashtra, no doubt food is yummy as well spicy in character. Try carb curry, tamboshi fry, kalav masala fry. It's amazing....the main ingredient is the water of Jaitapur and Devache Gothane
