Try to move the notes around! Remember that every string is 5 semitones apart from the other (except between the B/2nd string and G/3rd string where it’s 4 semitones). If you feel a shape is uncomfortable swap the notes around until you get a comfortable shape that still plays the same notes, if you’re still having trouble maybe also swap what octave a note is though if you do try to keep the lowest and highest notes as they are and don’t make other notes lower or higher than them respectively. Finally try to see what type of chord it is and maybe drop a few notes that aren’t so important, which tends to be the 5th.
