Just test rode this bike today. I currently ride a Meteor 350. My initial impressions of the VX 250 are extremely positive. Very lightweight, flickable, eager engine performance but runs flat after a while. I am 5'7" and expected this bike to be difficult but was pleasantly surprised by the handling characteristics. Can't flat foot but still a very easygoing bike for cities.
@@runicrochers6548 honestly, if you’re tall and into ADVs or that kind of riding stance, go for VX 250 otherwise the Meteor 350 is better. Suzuki is also lighter and better in the city but the Meteor is smoother, more stable and I love the cruiser riding position more.
People crying about engine needs to understand All the companies do the same when they have a good engine Yezdi has the same engine in Adventurer, Scram & Maybe in Roadster.
The thing is that yezdi bikes all run close to each other even in different class of bikes so their engines are compatible for the different needs with a few tweaks. How u gonna use a high revving sporty engine in an adventure bike lol Suzuki has its actual cruiser lines in other markets like in jp and us, they are just milking the gixxer250 engine to the max
This is by far the most detailed review that I have seen of the vstrom sx. Audio and video is good, information about service as well. Not to mention it's in English!
As a gs150r owner, I can relate to some enthusiasts' opinion on tank capacity; nonetheless, fuel economy should yield a good 320 Kms of non-stop riding, giving you stay within reasonable rpm range. Love the design and overall specs! My Suzuki gs150r can do 550 kms. between fuel stops, but I usually ride with only 10 liters as a full tank makes the motorcycle feel a bit heavy. My GS, by the way, is the special edition yellow bike and it looks like a younger sister of the Vstrom. Only 10 or 15 of these were sold in Mexico. But, guys, I feel tempted by the 167 Kgs dry weight and the spicy Gixxer 250 engine.
The service schedule is 6 months / 5k km . Suzuki spare & service charges are 1/3rd of that of RE & KTM And the Recommended oil with filter charge is < Rs 800 /- No where it is close to what you have mentioned.
Any way its better than, cb 200 x 😂 My friend took this model and its butter smooth. He ran around 18k kilometers and he is getting a mileage of 43 kmpl in city. Thats actually a good mileage.
Very nice review👌 I will buy the VStrom 250 SX if Suzuki increase the suspension travel, increase the tank capacity to 15 litres, slightly taller handlebars with a revised peg position for ease of riding when standing up on the pegs, also give switchtable ABS, a bit more low end torque, a stronger light and an extensive touring accessories catalogue.
As a gs150r owner, I can relate to your opinion on tank capacity; nonetheless, fuel economy should yield a good 320 Kms of non-stop riding, giving you stay within reasonable rpm range. I know very few people who will go for longer between fuel stops.
I took the test drive of this bike yesterday and the on road price is 248000 in boisar Maharashtra In my test ride i felt handlebar should be more raised and the suspension could have been better but rest all was excellent the pickup the speed was great
Hello Strell. My use of bike is mainly city use and a 200 KM highway ride twice in a month including some bad roads. I am planning for V Storm SX or Honda Highness. So, which one will be better, please?
I biought this machine. Mileage is so good. In highways i am getting 38 - 39 for the cruising speed between 90 to 110kmph. In city it really depends. If we shift gears properly with very minimal then we can get around 40 in moving traffic and 35+ in heavy traffic. We have to adapt to economy ride by looking instantaneous fuel economy indicator
Hello mr strell. Im from Malaysia and still waiting for news for release. Before thinking to buy, i would like to know does this bike usable for 155cm person?
It is a tall bike and I am 5'9 and I can't flat foot on this bike. I can tippy toe both feet on adv 390 so yes it is much comfortable for me if I compare it with adv 390 experience.

Autocar, Zigwheels and other auto journals may point out real downsides but you have to watch more videos before deciding which are real bothering downsides..
the location of the foot step is too backwards I think it will tired quickly on long trips and when standing offroad the handlebar will feel far away, is that correct?
Hi, Can anyone share the servicing experience here, I am from Pune, and I am impressed with this bike, just couple of things which I am skeptical about, how is the servicing experience and if the parts are readily available for this bike? Thanks a ton in advance!!
Superb review video as always!! For 35K extra (will be more since on-road price is calculated by percentage) than a normal Gixxer, we get; 1 - Extra screwed in plastic for the front looks aka. VStrom 650 for the poor 2 - Mobile Charging Port 3 - Plastic Knuckle Guards 4 - Non adjustable clear Wind Deflector 5 - 10mm raised handle bar 6 - Bigger front tires. 7 - Real metal rack for top box. Is that all or am I missing something? No F***s were given for any of the rest. They just left them as is. I think except increasing ground clearance and tire size, rest all can be done to a normal gixxer for much less.
A dominar with a visor and offroad spec tires is more of an adv than this crap, dominar has 130mm front suspensions travel with inverted forks, I booked my ktm adv 250 getting it soon f**** suzuki
1. Got new instrument cluster 2. Dual purpose tyres 3. More ground clearance 4. It has new subframe and bit long swingarm so it has better pillion/luggage setup and 100mm more wheelbase for highway stability. All these changes cannot be justified for 35k but it is worth for 20-25k and more road presence of bike..
Adding more points, 8. Entirely new sub frame to carry load and to support wider rider and pillion seat 9. Entirely new swing arm which increases wheelbase by 10cm which is huge and greatly increases highspeed stability 10. The front is raked out i.e the mount point of front axle is different, this again is to support bigger 19" wheels and also improves stability for cruising 11. All new Much bigger disc brake compared to Gixxer 250, braking is much better So to sum up, you can never get these things done after market, this is not just a simple body work. It might have cost suzuki 20-25k more, 10k more is the margin. The price is justified IMO, go take a test ride and don't go by TH-cam reviews, they will always be prejudiced
