I used the emergency key to unlocked the door with the key fob in the house, within less the a minute the car alarm went off. How would you turn the alarm off or for that matter start the car without the fob?

What is the emergency key for ? Where does it go to ?

It is used to unlock the drivers door in case of a dead battery or key fob
