I made these! I did it two different ways. Firstly, if you only heat until the sugar just dissolves they will turn out more like jelly. Secondly, for a gummy you must cook for longer (about 10 mins in total). Otherwise, they are delicious. Thanks for the recipe. Hope this helps anyone who was struggling with the gummy consistency. I hope you make these again!
Thanks for your tip! I made dog treat gummies and they turned out perfectly! Liver (from dehydrated liver), peanut butter (from pnut butter powder), and cheese (from finely powdered parmesan cheese). Big hit!
@@ljvob I got gelatin they turned out fine but not like the commercial ones they still have that homa made texture and taste but they were better than before and my family enjoyed them.
Having watched how easy it is. I have just ordered some moulds and some Gelatine.. I love Gummy bears. This will be a game changer as I can make my own flavours.
Making these in two different colors with children would be a very fun winter project and then afterwards they could use them as pieces on a checkerboard to play a game. They can eat all their opponent's gummie bears

When I make infused gummy bears, and use a dropper. The stuff is locking up on me by the 5th bear. How do you keep it liquid long enough to leisurely fill them the way you were?
I've been making with leaf gellitain from asda (Vega friendly) so far mine turn out too much like jelly but I'm Gunna try this recipe think the preivous were too watery. I have also seen recipes with agar agar and also Xyc whatever gum which I think is vegan friendly

I'm new to this - How do you make different flavors? Other recipes I've tried use both gelatin & jello. So I've made lime, cherry, strawberry, etc depending on the jello flavor. They were OK< but had the consistency of jello. I'd like my gummy's to be more like commerical gummy's.
hello, if you want to make your gummies “chewier” there’s a few tricks: first off be sure to cook your gelatin/sugar mixture longer, not just when it dissolves. the longer you let it heat, the chewier it gets. Also using honey or corn syrup will help get a chewy texture, as opposed to just sugar. you can use honey and sugar if you want.
Making these at home with gelatin, I have a couple questions, If you do not eat them right away, do you have to keep them refridgerated? Or can they sit out at room temp in a bag or jar like store bought gummies? What is the shelf life? Can I make a batch and enjoy over weeks or do they have to be consumed right away?
at what point can we add the optional cornstarch to stop them sticking together? Also, tried this method and found it to be a bit dry for 50 gummies in that mould, most of my mix ended up as forth/bubbles and thus, so were my gummies :/ Feel like the mix needs about 70/80ml juice rather than 60ml but not sure if that will ruin it
1tbsp gelatin is only 6g. Also sugar measurement in recipe says 1-2 tbsp , but in video you can see you used a lot more sugar and one spoon. I’d say that’s why 1/2 of people commenting had issues. Idk I’ve tried to message you on several of your socials but after typing it all, it wouldn’t allow it. “Not sent” over and over. Please help
silicon is naturally non-stick for the most part. I did see another comment about using cornstarch to prevent the gummies sticking to each other. Maybe cornstarch in the mold to make it 100% non-stick?

how good is the shelf life of these? want to make some but seen that some get moldy after even a week.
These should be good at least for 6 months
I use a little lemon juice in mine because I like a little bit of tartness. It acts as a natural preservative because of the citric acid in it.
Awesome 🔥
By far the best recipe!
They're sooo cute & I bet they taste amazingly good! Thank you for sharing your recipe with all of us gummy bear lovers🥰🙆♀️❣

Wondering the same.. did you try cooking it for an extra 10 min?

Can I make a larger batch or is doubling not as simple as it appears?
