This is a model for how car repair videos should be done. Short and sweet with good camera work plus enough detail to help newbies. Your time spent planning what to say and editing it's appreciated. You, sir have won You Tube for the day!
Great video! Thanks for this tutorial. I do work on my own motorcycles, but will have to take this to my mechanic for repair. At least now I understand exactly what is being done. My Jeep Renegade diagnostic code indicated: EVAP System small leak - canister purge control valve.
Very helpful! On the electric plug to the valve, it’s easier to take it off once the valve is loose. Otherwise we did everything like you showed! Thank you!
Could be. Could be as simple as the gas tank isn’t sealing properly. Or one of the hoses on the purge valve needs to be replaced. Or the charcoal canister is dirty. Purge valve is most common though, I think.
Need help, I had purge valve canister and solenoid replaced. Had a shop smoke it out and found another leak gas neck tube. That part is on national back order and currently jeep is acting weird. Engine shuts down at random and sometimes dash tells me to put it in " Drive" when it already is.
My friend. I believe you are having an issue with a recall. This same thing would happen to me. If youve got a keen eye, you can probably see your oil light flick on for just a moment. And then a while later the vehicle would quietly stall. Dealership said the ECU needed to be reprogrammed because of high oil consumption.
@Krukohv yes ended up taking car back to dealership and had them reprogram it and now it works fine. I have a 2015 so now I'm just dealing wit all the plastics breaking.
Love that after you removed it you explain on what to push to release it.

This was very helpful. Can I ask what error code you had for this job? I have P0440 now and wonder if this will be the fix

This is a great video.
Why was the fuel line connected to the fuel rail removed? It’s not part of the purge solenoid right?
Thank you.
Where is the fuel pressure sensor located?
where is the expansion valve located ?
Had mines replaced and same code popped up again.
