i don't care what the world might say about Chine but you have to admit that they are really hardworking people and from last two decades they worked very efficiently that's why they are leading the world in every way, so instead of criticizing them world should work harder in order to compete with them.

@@icelee5868 Of course I don't know everything but I know enough of history about any large organization. The Chinese government is certainly a member of that category, would you not agree. If even an accident occurs, there is a tendency to cover it up. I am not even going to list the examples of this.
Now what about non-accidents that are the result of morally reprehensible policies. Perhaps none of the information that we receive from sources is valid. Some of these sources appear to risk everything to get their information out. The point is that we don't know because of the lack of a free press. Because there is no free press then as a thinking person who trusts his own mind, I'm going to believe the bad news and be disappointed.
By the way, my wife is Chinese so of course I know everything about them. I applaud the Chinese governments going all in on solar power - fantastic. Their high speed rail network - WOW. Their record on human rights - we'll be generous here - not so good.
There is no more efficient government than a benevolent dictatorship. That is why they have gotten so far so fast. That and the incredible work ethic of the Chinese people. What happens when the transfer of power gets into the hands of not so benevolent dictator. No checks and balances.
I don't like big government and there is no bigger government than the Chinese Communist Party. Telling people how to live, fuck them. If you're not hurting anyone, you should be able to do what you want - period.

A Land rich in resources, ripe for the plunder, created the European Colonial Empires of Spain, Portugal, France and Britain. The taxation, enslavement of natives and Africans, the raw materials from these colonies generated enormous wealth for the European Powers. Which triggered the Industrial Revolution in Britain. That Industrial revolution helped them build better weapons of War, which were used all over the rest of the world, in order to Subjugate India, China......

Originally, the Europeans were looking for a sea route to India and China, where all the luxury goods such as Silk, Tea, Chinese Porcelain (called Fine China), as well as spice Islands were. The division of the Mongol Empire, meant that travel along the Silk road was no longer as quick and convenient. Later on the Ottoman Empire closed off the traditional Silk Road from Western Europe. This forced the Europeans to find an alternate route to East Asia. Vasco Degama actually rounded South Africa to reach the India Ocean. But how practical was such a route ?

One must admit the Chinese have taken the effort to marry manufacturing and IT in earnest. It is hoped their progress can inspire others, especially the developing economies to move in this direction. After all, the energy and brain power required are similar; so why waste such power towards destructive agenda such as conflicts. They used to argue that venture into warfare could inspire other developments but it is also true that with today's technologies and education we can simply focus on the most constructive enablers to make the future more attractive to the human race. Some seem to conclude that it is a zero sum game but this is certainly not true of economic developments. The whole planet could advance together albeit some at a slower pace which is better than creating destruction through conflicts.
China has shown that given the desire and the togetherness those infrastructure, a basic requirement to improve economic progress can be achieved. Bravos!

The water crisis is just getting worse, the population is rapidly ageing with a birth rate of estimated 1.1 - 1.3 instead of the needed 2.1 .
The gender imbalance and high living costs make it extremely unlikely to get a positive birthrate to deathrate again.
The economy is collapsing becouse of the energy crisis, the housing crisis and the extreme lockdowns.

What amazes me is that the economical growth of china is not upon war and millitary superiority....its upon pure business and win win grounds....kudos to china, thats the way to go.

yes, not military superiority, but soft military pressure. And the business in China isn´t any better than business in western countries. Both are corrupt.

I think human rights doesn't mean the right to vote. the human rights cover a lot, for example , eliminating the poor and obtain a better living standard

Americans talk about freedom of speech, but millions of Americans live in poverty and lack economic freedom. Without money how do you have access to basic needs, or the freedom to move?
