I grew up watching the Doug Anthony Allstars as a kid. I’d pretend to be asleep with my tv sound low. I’m sure my parents must have known though because I’d be laughing my butt off throughout the entire Tuesday night Big Gig.
Thanks for putting this up. I have been trying to find this for a while now. I was a huge fan of The Big Gig, especially DAAS and The Empty Pockets. Hilarious lyrics in this.
they are DAAS (the Doug Anthony Allstars) an australian comedy trio from the 80-90s. This was a tv show they were regulars on called The Big Gig. The lead singer (Paul) went on to host numerous shows such as GNW in its many incarnations, the guitarist (Richard) now hosts Conversations with Richard Fidler a radio show, and the other singer (Tim) teaches narrative comedy around the world but mostly in Melbourne. If you like comedy you might want to look up some of their other stuff but if it's not your thing, no biggie.
Still the best... Remember watching this in the Big Gig. Best show ever.

You are offensive, not knowing who they are. Only the best group ever.
