It's amazing how strong Glenn Hughes' voice has remained after all these years. If he is still singing this good into his late sixties(let's hope even longer) I'll be blown away even more so.
Many years ago, when such a super group got together, it hit all headlines. In this era of mediocrity it goes quite unnoticed, except for the "initiated". What a superb performance! It's so great that Glenn Hughes hasn't burned his vocal chords the way Gillan did. His range is intact as well as his playing. Thanks for sharing this gem!
I really love these guys - I mean heck - Hughes voice has got to be the ultimate heavy rock voice - not to mention being a kickin bass player, of course Joe Bonamassa, Bonham and Sherinian -- It just doesn't get any better - great video footage to boot -- thanks for sharing !!~!
Wow. Just found this. Thanks so much for posting. I was there too. I’ve been a Glenn Hughes fan since Trapeze. I still remember the total shock when Joe announces that his new band was going to play. I hadn’t heard that he had a new band
Just listened to BCC full album & i really like the mix of excellent writing, great musicianship it just so works, will be following these guys, decent rock has been crying out for this so look out!
Truley a New Super Band in the Making. These Established, Proffessional Musicians Will Bring Music/Rock back to where it should Be. I Wish them a Long and successful future. I will be listening for More.
@BENJAMIN7a - Being there, at the House of Blues that night for the G.C. King of the Blues competition and seeing Joe and Glenn together in person was........ life altering. I'm so grateful I had my camera rolling then too!! Have fun at your show!
That was sooo cool. We were 3 rows behind you. This song was Gnarly. Classic DP cover done well. Yes it is young Bonham on the kit. It made my day to relive this historic moment Libby. Thanks
You're welcome. Believe me, it was a great pleasure being there to shoot it, and I'm happy to share such greatness with the world. Please check out my other video from that night, and also my two videos that I shot of Joe and Glenn the first time they took the stage together (before BCC formed), just a few months earlier. They played Mistreated and Medusa. Just search through my channel. :)
Joe Bonamassa is just awesome.. Incredible. I would go see him no matter what he's playing or with whom,. So i would definitly go to see these guys.. But i would miss Bogie Bowles..
Ok...I've been a little burnt with Glenn Hughes (my all time favorite singer and influence) for the goofy things he says in the Facebook feed. This is the first time I've heard BCC. I gotta admit...they friggin' rock. And Glenn's voice is shreddin'. The dude is 70 years old!!! Kudos Dude!!!
POWER like I haven't heard since ....... I don't remember the last time I felt chills like this. It reminds me of the first time I heard "The Wizard" or "Black Dog"
Can't wait to see them at the seceret gig in London tonight. I am also interviewing the band for my radio show. I get to chat to them tomorrow, with the interview going out on Thursday23rd Sept on Phoenix Radio
Hey Libby, I hope you are doing OK. We all LOVE your video's, very high quality, and you seem to be there, ALL THE TIME! lol Take care, and get well soon. Johnny J
Awesome my friend,so glad you posted this,i`ve been listen to them alot on planet rock the last two weeks,i have pre ordered the album which comes out here today/tomorrow,cant wait to blast that out loud and heavy,,They are playing a gig in a secret location somewhere in London tonight, and it will be broadcasted on planet rock radio station tonight at 21:00...check it out i cant wait..
Oh how I hope and pray that this catches on, because it could take the direction of rock music back to where it should be. This is the real shit here...none of this half-ass-hardly-can-play crap that passes for "rock" these days. These guys are legendary and of course each is talented beyond words. What a band!
wow, that was quite impressing! much more than what happenes to some other DP songs these days^^ hopefully this band will not collapse because of some management problems they seemed to have, and be able to record and tour at its own will, e.g. JLTs new Rainbow seems to be managed very strangely, why don't they tour like mad, what they should have done to establish themselves... even Tony Carey left because of these things... hope this one workes out fine.
@mmmmna - Thank you for your very positive message. If you have not seen Joe live, either with his own band or with BCC you simply must. I was not only there for this performance, but also was there six months earlier - the first night that Joe and Glenn ever played together and the band was formed in the MINDS of those who could make it happen (Kevin Shirley, etc.). That was an unbelievable night too. Look through my videos for the two I shot that night. I was forever altered. Enjoy. :)
@chitownbluesy - I'm sorry to say that I've missed all of the initial shows of this new tour. I've been ill for several weeks and just didn't want to risk a setback. I've heard nothing but great things and am pleased to hear another glowing report from you as well. I'll miss Bogie terribly, but know that Tal is quite capable, to say the very least. Nice guy too! I've actually seen him play with Joe before, but that's another story, for another time and place. Take care, Johnny. :) L
I feel Richie Blackmore should be playing on that stage, and give me Joe Bonamassa playing his solo work, which I feel is better. I think Joe sounds way better on vocals, but I do Love Glens pipes. he shows he's still got them too. I saw Joe Bonamassa at Albert Hall, and that show just can't be beat. I do Love Jason's drum work. I am very pleased to see him jamming again. It's to bad Jimmy didn't put Zeppelin back together. Thanks for a great video. this is my favorite D.P. tune. Keep the peace.
The drugs take your voice and ability to play well and your energy and leave you feeling like crap, why would anyone want that. Then they take cocaine or speed to be able to work. I've quit more bands from the 70's because of drugs. I told them, anyone does drugs I'm gone, I played drums and keyboards and sang lead and back up. Glenn sounds better than ever thank God. He could be dead like so many other great musicians.
Hey Libby, It's Johnny from Solana Beach. This is sooooooo AMAZING, I have not stopped playing the disc or the vinyl since it came out. Going to see Joe at both The Grove and down here in San Diego next month. I keep tellin' ya I'll buy ya a drink at a show, so make sure we say hello, cause I know you'll be at both!
Jason should have never left Ludwig.. these sound amazing I saw him yet last year with the DW said it sound like he was playing the cases.. Ludwig has a very identifiable crushing not to mention he just knows how to tune his there's no beating a Ludwig supraphonic.. like father like son.. these sound amazing.. he finally went paiste..🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
@libbysvideos My observations exactly Libby. As I inferred in rebuttal to those who didn't like this, stay home when Joe is in the mood to ROCK with his friends. He'll still be playing Blues too. This is old school goodness. It gave me the chills. I thought Glenn's shrieks expressed the angst and anger of the song very well. Jason's swell with the Leslie echoed that at the close. Awesome song. Funny that it was a Blues song by DP. Far far from the Delta. :>)
Hello fellow Riversider. I was there. Riverside municipal auditorium. All around great show. Got off work late and dog tired. Decided to go by myself at the last minute on the way home and I'm so glad I did. Ritchie is the reason I play guitar and BURN is my fav lp so to hear Glenn and the boys play mistreated was great. Thanks for uploading this. Joe did a great acoustic solo spot that I recorded on my blackberry but the quality is crap. If you have it and can upload it that would be great.
@lukastiberio - Ha! What a wonderful comment. Thank you so much. That makes what I do all worthwhile. It is my great pleasure to shoot and share things like this, but so nice to hear such positive feedback. I appreciate you taking the time to say such kind things. :)
@robvoodoogrooves - So glad you've enjoyed it so much! The name - Black Country - it seems is still up in the air. I labeled the video with it, because that was the original working name of the band and I knew people would search for it. Once the decision has been made, I will probably change the title of the video. Seems there is another band with that name and there are some legalities involved..... Best, Libby :)
@shredfreek - Ahhhh.... what a nice comment to end the day with. Thank you so much for your enthusiasm and kind words. The band is awesome.... just you WAIT until you hear the CD that will be out in September..... wow..... :)
This is one of The very Best Songs all over ! And take a look whos on Stage , J.Bonamassa, Glen Hughes, Jason Bonham usw. It has to be good , very good :)
@andresc228 - I think that Glenn would say that drugs very NEARLY ruined his life.... but , I can personally assure you that he is alive and well, sober and clean, and at the top of his game. He is gifted, great, and, most of all, extremely grateful.
They WERE great. As for negative commentary on Joe's Forum, certainly people are allowed their opinions, but I wish they would be realistic and civil when expressing them. A few things I read were either just plain rude or drifted well into the Land of Silly. I also found it interesting that a few people who didn't like it claimed that most other people there felt the same way. My videos indicate otherwise - the crowd was VERY excited and audibly appreciative.
These guys remind me of Humble Pie rocking the Filmore. Even better. Yikes, how many people alive can hit those notes? Speaking of notes, Joe Bonamassa is already moving to the top of the legend's totem pole.
I think Glenn Hughes shows that he´s a fantastic musician..a genuine artist.Great performance here.
It's amazing how strong Glenn Hughes' voice has remained after all these years. If he is still singing this good into his late sixties(let's hope even longer) I'll be blown away even more so.

Joe Bonamassa's guitar tone, Jason's drums with Glenn Hughes voice is a thing of awesomeness!
@Gazpmsl - Thank you. It was an honor to be there, and is a privilege to be able to share it! :)
I really love these guys - I mean heck - Hughes voice has got to be the ultimate heavy rock voice - not to mention being a kickin bass player, of course Joe Bonamassa, Bonham and Sherinian -- It just doesn't get any better - great video footage to boot -- thanks for sharing !!~!
aMAZING, GREAT PERFORMANCE!! Thanks from Brazil, dude, for this post! For those about rock, we sallute you, Black Country!!
These guys are unbelievalble. I think this is the best possible lineup for a band to play real rock that could ever be assembled.
Wow. Just found this. Thanks so much for posting. I was there too. I’ve been a Glenn Hughes fan since Trapeze. I still remember the total shock when Joe announces that his new band was going to play. I hadn’t heard that he had a new band
I think Glenn is the only Purple singer who's voice is in such a great shape. His voice is so strong;-)
That's so cool that Glenn does those old Purple songs with his new band.
How great to be there and capture on video this great line up, what a blast.
Thanks for the video :=)
That’s how it’s done. Old school rock and roll.❤️
Greatest Rock Soul Singer on the planet!! Without question!!
Just listened to BCC full album & i really like the mix of excellent writing, great musicianship it just so works, will be following these guys, decent rock has been crying out for this so look out!

Love it, love it, love it! Glenn has one heck of a voice.
Thank you for this video, great version. Watch it every day ;)
I'm speechless!!!! AMAZING!!! Glenn RULES!!!!
That was sooo cool. We were 3 rows behind you. This song was Gnarly. Classic DP cover done well. Yes it is young Bonham on the kit. It made my day to relive this historic moment Libby. Thanks
Excellent Libby once again.
Must have been an awesome show. :)
!Wow! what a band, good band, like classics, !Rock! no bullshit. Absolutely great musicians.

The Good Lord blessed this band with his own hands.

You're very welcome. My pleasure. :)
Thanks! looks like Glenn is looking right at you
Great Vid Libby....Joe's forum is none to happy about Glenn's performance...WTF?! I thought they were GREAT!
You see with a trap set you're forced to do more with less.. and really brings out the creativity.. and Jason has it in spades 🤘🤘🤘
all time faved!!! glenn hughes saves rock n' roll!!!
@jspero61 - Thank YOU for the kind words. I had a blast that night and am so happy to have been able to shoot and share a bit of the MAGIC with you.
The Voice of Rock cantando como nunca!!!

Yes, Joe is growing continuously - I don't think we have anything to worry about as fans. :)
Hey guys, thanks for your support. Please visit our channel and subscribe to stay in touch with us- lots of surprises coming soon!

You guys are going to be brutally good when you gained just an inch more experience on stage! Very cool performance!

@TheManicAlien - It was in Riverside, CA, on 3/17/10. They played after Joe played a full set with his solo band.
Incredible!!!

Who is Tom?? This is my video - my name is Libby.
Hi Libby - Tom shared this video with me. :) thank you for posting it!

This is one of The very Best Songs all over ! And take a look whos on Stage , J.Bonamassa, Glen Hughes, Jason Bonham usw. It has to be good , very good :)
this is amazing..
@Cameron4963 - Good choice. SUPPORT THE ARTISTS whose work you enjoy and believe in. Simple as that.
that is amazing!
Yes, he certainly can - and he can still MOVE like he's twenty something too! :)
@andresc228 - I think that Glenn would say that drugs very NEARLY ruined his life.... but , I can personally assure you that he is alive and well, sober and clean, and at the top of his game. He is gifted, great, and, most of all, extremely grateful.
@tcstratman I found the drums to be outstanding on this . Jason has great feel and a gift for groove

Thank you. Is that my friend Graeme in Scotland? It WAS an awesome show.... I feel very fortunate to have been there. :)
Yes, it is. :)
These guys remind me of Humble Pie rocking the Filmore. Even better. Yikes, how many people alive can hit those notes? Speaking of notes, Joe Bonamassa is already moving to the top of the legend's totem pole.
Well I just hope they will play in Germany.
Superior. Awesome. Fantastic. Absolute great.
Yeah that guy can really really, REALLY sing.
That rocks!!
First time seeing JB with a LP Custom.
@bonzoters - You're welcome - it's my pleasure. It was an incredible ending to an awesome night!! :))
