I don't care what anyone says, nothing better than Bon Scott era AC/DC
Brian made some of the most iconic AC/DC songs and really pushed them into the spotlight but the Bon era is pure AC/DC how they should be
The only thing ibdont like of its era is the kind of sound the band sound like you know oldy between highway to hell and The razors edge the quality of the sound was a lot better
They're both good, stfu already.
@@glenbogger1873 yeah same but still think brian johnson not as good but both are good at the same time
Bon had a way with lyrics that was totally unique, and will never been seen again. He was raw, funny, a bit crude, a lot rude and one of a kind. Such a loss.
One of the darkest, hardest, heaviest, nastiest acdc songs to exist!!
Fucking rights! Fell in love when this came out. Walked 3 miles uphill both ways with no shoes in the middle of a blizzard to buy Highway to Hell from the closest record store. Well, I lied about uphill both ways lol! And I was wearing sneakers, but the rest is true!
Man I was gonna comment something like that but that covered it perfectly.
Bon's lyrics had an edge that the lyrics by the Youngs and Brian Johnson just don't quite have. It's a reason why Highway is actually my favorite AC/DC album even over Back in Black. But of course they have many really great albums so picking one is like picking my favorite ice cream.
Not as dark as Night Prowler imo but still pretty dark for AC/DC yeah
Amen!
This is the real AC/DC, the best lineup they ever had. Bon Scott had a stage presence and charisma only a handful of R & R frontmen ever had.
Yep 👍
I always refused to listen to AC DC with Brian just because I was in love with Bon Scott 😂
I couldn't agree more!
His voice was the dirtiest and hottest in the whole Hard Rock Universe

Bad to the fucking bone. Best rock band EVER!

Not to be mistaken for Metal.....AC/DC is not a metal band. They were a Hard Rock band. Judas Priest, Metallica are of the Metal genre'. But yes..one of if not the Best Rock Band ever.
huskers all the way
Satan called whe i played this, it scared him
No dought about that
Phil Rudd is the purist rock drummer of all time.
I usually play GTR when we did AC/DC tunes, and one day I decided to play drums instead...and I realized Phil Rudd has more going on than he appears to, like trippy timed cymbal splashes and shit... He seems simple, like charlie watts, with that metronome pocket, but a lot of that is an illusion.
Human metronome!

Hell yeahhh!!
Whats your opinion about star wars The empire steikes back
hahahahahahahahahahaha
shocked no one has mentioned angus’ solo but me! this is his sickest solo!!! this is the solo where he truly sounds like an unstable maniac. so many cool little parts and riffs…the first bend has insane HUGE vibrato, just before the break down when he goes into the lower register the note are on the edge of shrieking into harmonics….at the end when it goes into climax it sounds like he fall apart and just shreds into nonsense….it’s beautiful!!
Chill out, it’s not that we don’t appreciate it.. we too busy re-playing this song over n over😂
Angus’s solos are always great, but one stand out one was in the Powerage song, “Kicked in The Teeth Again”, some of those sounds he got out of his Gibson SG were phenomenal considering he never uses distortion pedals.
It's because AC/DC is the only guitar band where the lead singer is the main instrument
Been playing guitar in bands for over 40 years, but haven't done much AC/DC due to lack of convincing vocalist. Now with someone vocally adequate, and adding some of their tunes I found that this guitar solo is more challenging than a lot of more famous ones. This has always been one of my favorite AC/DC tunes though.
I WAS THERE !!!!COSMIC😀g
High energy, loud vocals, perfect notes.....this song is an instant classic!!! Rock and roll will never be the same!!!
AC⚡DC ...hats off to you guys!!! Perfection 👌🏻.
imagine that. A band just playing ROCK n ROLL in their music video. No flames or fireworks, no naked chicks in cages (not that there is anything wrong with that). Just rock. Name me one band in the last 10 years that will be known 40 years from now. Ill wait.
Err....... Hmm..... *Silent pause*
Bon at least gives the appearance he'd have naked chicks in cages on stage if he could. Also, flames and fireworks kept Kiss around… Anyway, for bands that will last, or at least some of the musicians in them will, Joe Bonamassa may not work for you as he's not a band, but how about Wolf Alice? Even if the band doesn't last, I'm betting Ellie Rowsell will.
@@familiarpurrson8744 Joe Bonamassa is GREAT. But he isn't AC/DC or Van Halen. Very few will have the type of memories bands like that have brought to us 70's and 80's kids. Wolf Alice? Ellie Rowsell? WHO? LOL...never heard of either one of them. Not saying they are bad. But will anyone know who they are 30 years from now? Not really.
i think Greta Van Fleet has a chance at lasting a long time.

I was born 1965 and grew up with AC/DC through the Early 70's - the present day. BACK IN BLACK was one of their best albums ever produced. But Bon Scott was thee original singer that made AC/DC What they are today. Brian Johnson is the best replica of his voice. They struck GOLD with him. LONG LIVE ROCK N ROLL. BTW I'm 57yrs old you younger generation have no FN clue about ROCK N ROLL music. Long live the 80's
It's my birthday today born 2/24/1965 I've been listening to them since I 11yrs old with Bon Scott. Then with Brian Johnson they will always be one of the best HARD ROCK BANDS EVER!!!

Angus probably gives really nice head , yes ? 😂
Angus steals the show, every time
You know it shelby
angus is the show.
stole it from Brian. not from Bon. Bon was the Rocker .The Rocker!!!
I prefer Brian's voice personally. It's Back in Black who made the group famous. But i really prefer the music style during Bon era. They had some very nice 'Blues' songs like 'Ride on', or 'she's got the jack'. Those albums where a mix of Rock and Blues that u don't find anymore in Higway to Hell even if it was with Bon.
+sagw adloup back in black was mostly written by Bon. he was a prolific writer , and died with a notebook full of completed lyrics. people saw lyrics for shook me in it. regardless what band says. they wanted to start fresh so gave Brian lyric credits and not Bon but the reason it was successful was because Bon brought them to the brink with Highway then handed them a goldmine of lyrics. which Imo they used through Ftatr. because if Brian wrote that album , what happened? he just lose his writing ability? no it was Bons words. you can tell the way he wrote. he was London finishing the lyrics For follow up to Highway. listen to Brian do any of Bons tracks. he cant. he wrecked them. that's why they only did a handful in concert. like go down. find Brians. doesn't compare. Bon was just a pure Frontman. 70s ACCA is the best. Powerage album is as good as it gets.
Bon was a genius. He wrote down amazing lyrics while drinking too much through crazy nights.
Also composed by Malcome and Angus
And Bon
All 3
But yeah he wrote killer songs
Plus the drugs
Jailbreak + Malcolm guitar, his repeated riffs creates ACDC sound , I am not diminishing genius of Angus at all here
Crazy that they had almost as many albums in 5 years with Bon than the next 40+ years! Then some are like Ironman album where half the album is from the first 5 years!
AC/DC war mit Bon Scott eine großartige Band
A complete powerhouse of a song!!! A polished band in peak form. Master class in rock!!! AC/DC

Phil Rudd shows he has the chops to play hard and fast, one of the best drummers in rock and roll history
Watch the ferocity he hits the crash with @1:06. I remember reading about his kit and the crash cymbals were all 18'' & 19'' by memory.
One of the all-time great intros. The guitar is incredible, but also the way they bring in the drums is genius. It launches perfectly into one of the greatest rock tunes of all time.
"Hell's Bells" and "Back in Black" have also incredible intros.
@@korarozmarynowska3804 yes indeed and thats coming from a huge Led Zeppelin fan 👍

And what does the local "rock radio" usually play? You shook me, Back in Black and money talks. As much as I love AC/DC when I hear those lame Brian Johnson songs I change the station. This stuff is a class of his own. Almost no filler song with Bon
Greatest rock band of all time.....
Only competition is probably Led Zeppelin. Bon and Plant are pretty much a draw. Angus beats Jimmie Page for the shear showmanship - is this guy the original headbanger!!?? Drums are another interesting comparison: Phil Rudd is every bit the musician as John Bonham. Bass is played very capably on both sides. Verdict: AC/DC led by the best hard rock guitarist ever: Angus Young.
Note: Jimi Hendrix came before there was such a thing as hard rock so I don't include him there.
@@waynek805 No then you havent heard of black sabbath then if you angus is the original headbanger

That is good
This song is still kicking ass after 44 years. I just learned how to play it on my guitar. It’s a blast. Chords are easy. I just wung it! The solo I improvised.
I was fortunate enough to see Bon live twice . He blows Johnson away. And yes, I saw Johnson live during the Back in Black tour.
This it the AC/DC that I appreciate the most. I miss Bon but under the circumstances Brian had enormous shoes to fill, stepped up to the plate and hit a home run. Not a grand slam but a home run. He deserves much respect. Very few, if no other, could've pulled it off. Nuff said.
Couldn't have said it any better.Exactly my sentiments on the bon n Brian discussion.
Bon & Brian are both Legends!
More a 3 run shot to tie the game up late
I distinctly remember that Brian was in another band, and when the boys came a calling, his bandmates TOLD him, "you HAVE to do it." Big shoes, that were well filled. Their style and sound changed a bit, but in his own way, Brian's definitely "made his mark." For Those About To Rock, Hell's Bells--powerful tunes, as well as others Brian sang lead vocals on. RIP, Bon...
Right very few bands had/have the luxury of in their prime, changing singers, (especially a Bon Scott)and actually succeeding, or surpassing themselves. Brian made that happen.
30 years of surfing this earth and I never noticed this gem. Probably the 10th time I've played it today.
Jus be glad you finally found it!

Dude I love how Angus in the intro has the expression of "oh yeah it's gonna happen" then let's loose when the music gets going
The beginning for me. The dawn of heavy rock as experienced by a young back in the late 70's and early 80's. This album, Dirty Deeds, and the Heavy Metal (The Mob Rules, and Heavy Metal!) was the awakening, the beginning of the journey, the quest, so to speak. I am still on that road. Highway to Hell, Walk All Over You, Dirty Deeds, Problem Child, The Mob Rules, Heavy Metal (the Sammy Hagar version) was the spark.
When Phil's drums kick in at the beginning, you could feel the power start to build. Its amazing how you can take 5 people, put them together, and its epic. Mal, Cliff, and Phil, played so tight it was like they were one. Angus, incredible guitar player, and a snappy dresser, and Bon, sounded like he was in the middle of an orgasm when he sang, which is always a good thing. AC/DC destroyed the mold of what rock and roll bands should be, and that's why they've been around for over 40yrs. The music of AC/DC will never die. Malcolms passing is like losing an old friend. Well good-bye my friend, well done.
