Thank you for the reviews. I wish more tents had a hinged door. Hate getting bugs in the tent and with kids going in and out of tents they look like the best solution. Trying to get a hold of the Elite Sundome tent but it looks like it is out of stock at the moment. Hope it isn’t discontinued as it has been out for a while with that battery system. If I get it, I’m hoping I can get a USB to DC barrel adapter that fits to ditch the old battery but keep the neat light switch. What are your thoughts on swapping the fiberglass poles out for aluminum tent poles? There’s lots of relatively inexpensive replacement sets out there.

I think one of my viewers of this video suggested one from L.L. Bean. And swapping the poles out for aluminum ones is definitely a great idea, they're way stronger 😊

I'm seriously considering this tent hard time deciding between that and the mammoth from Columbia. I think the magnetic closure would be far superior to the velcro in these Coleman tents. How do you like the Acadia so far I want the one with the dog vestibule also!
I liked the elite sun dome but returned it because the plastic parts that hold the light and controller kept breaking and the hinged door was not staying straight and would start to lean down away from the Velcro

I'm really glad that you liked the video 😊 And so far I haven't had any other brand of tent with hinged doors, sadly! :( And for the best zippers for 1 hand use, you probably have to buy more high-end tents, like those from REI. Zippers tend to be YKK. Budget brands like Coleman tend to have no-brand zippers instead. I've been testing a few from REI and also one from The North Face, and they have a really awesome zipping experience (no snagging!). I'm hoping to get those videos out by this month. I hope this helped! 😊
