Kevin Uchiha Well it's similar, but Revocation has a lot of faster songs. Death has a lot of mid-tempo songs. You can hear plenty of thrash metal influences in both bands though.
Haha yeah, very unique! Phill is amazing! Great songs, both ''No Funeral'' as ''The Gift You Gave!!'' My current favorites are ''Numbing Agents'' and 'Age Of Iniquity''.
these guys are bringing something back to metal that i miss today in many bands: the rock'n'roll. and overwhelming joy of playing. very much influences here than just straight up shredding.
What I like about this band the most is the sound keeps going and changing through each song. It starts one way and ends another; each song is an adventure of ear bleeding brain melting double penetrating metal.
Just saw these guys in Charlotte, they rule live. Literally I could barely tell any difference whatsoever from the studio recording to the live, also, Dave is an awesome dude, he even took a picture with me. Such a cool band.
11yrs later, still a fucking jam, this album. I still remember the first time I saw them live w/ Bodom, about a year after Chaos of Forms dropped. Stoked to see they have gone on to be one of the bigger bands in the scene.
ThrashAlpha I think I had that shirt. On the back it read "Perilous Nations" the front has a reporter or photographer getting his tongue ripped out. I bought it after the Practice What You Preach tour Testament, Annihilator and Wrathchild America(aka Souls at Zero)at The Vic in Chicago '89....yup, I'm old.
revocation is just one of those bands where their songs grow on you immensely. Ive been listening to them since before Existence is Futile and heard all their songs a ton and they still become more powerful each listen.
First heard this song on Spotify a few months ago and I fucking love it. Just amazing raw energy. These guys have a ton of great songs, and good to see them still active. Keeping my eyes peeled for a show in the eastern PA/NJ area!
Very well put. Thank you for defending the name that is 8 string guitars. I am a proud owner of one. And I love to see the look on peoples faces when I play it. And then dont break down. Best expressions ever.
These guys are awesome. Dig their first album. Now their again fresher, like their styles. To add another guitar was a good idea. Wow - hope to see them live here in Austria.
I just saw these guys today... well yesterday now. I got the privilege to meet Dave awesome guys and rev even signed the album i bought from them. Awesome fucking band that deserves much much much more respect. Super talented band.
No me canso de ver este video...que increible banda...tremendas remeras de Testamet y Atheist tienen puesta de esa escuela vienen y tienen mucho de ellos!!!!
So grateful there's is good tabs for this. I can't wait to dumb hours into nailing this song on guitar. So fucking good, such good lyrics, how he does this and sing I'll never fully understand. Someday I hope to achieve the same level of skill.
How is Revocation not one of the most successful metal bands right now? They are so much more approachable and listenable than some of the bands that are bigger. I have friends who don't listen to metal, but like Revocation. The songwriting is spot on, and the talent is unquestionable. This is what happens when metal goes to college.
You can hear how much classic metal and classic rock these dudes listen to. Lead guitarist reminds me of Michael Schenker and Marty Friedman :) The music is a totally fresh take on thrash. I likes.
I just love it when I accidentally stumble upon awesome music.
Azhi Ragnaroksama I think the vocals are great. It's not Chuck, but still good.
Thane Krios
even though i love Chucks vocals to death (hehe) i don't think his vocal style would fit in here, these vocals fit perfectly IMO.
Kevin Uchiha Well it's similar, but Revocation has a lot of faster songs. Death has a lot of mid-tempo songs. You can hear plenty of thrash metal influences in both bands though.
Olii Sant The same thing just hapenned here :o
Olii Sant I met the singer for these guys last night at a Slayer concert. really cool guy, he was nice and it was cool to meet him
Very underrated band, they reintroduced the dueling guitars and the vocalist isn't a bad soloist.
Dave Davidson isnt a bad soloist lol? Dude hahahaha no shit
@@frederikrichard15 Yeah, like, the dude is considered one of the best metal guitarists today :)) ofcourse he's fucking good.
Dave , Brandon Ellis , Ryan Knight, and Brian Eshbach for rhythm
probably the best modern metal band out there today imo
+nickDOTbloc Dig Deeper my Friend they are amazing but there is so much many great modern bands out there its unreal.
+nickDOTbloc I'm really big on Skeletonwitch.
+nickDOTbloc If top three exists, they are one of thee for sure.
+cryomanc3r I just checked it out. I'm impressed. Thanks for sharing.
Revocation, Allegaeon, Sylosis are my top 3 for epic solos/drums. Havok is amazing thrash band
One of their best fucking songs. Phil is an absolute beast on those drums.
first time I've seen a drummer doing windmills
Agreed! A very good song, that I might even have overplayed. My current favorite is "The Gift You Gave". What are yours?
Haha yeah, very unique! Phill is amazing!
Great songs, both ''No Funeral'' as ''The Gift You Gave!!'' My current favorites are ''Numbing Agents'' and 'Age Of Iniquity''.
Cinerus - yeah.. i miss Phil 😢
I love phil. Id buy him dinner for life
You know what's better than hearing this song? Hearing it live. :D For the second time in June, I'm pumped.
these guys are bringing something back to metal that i miss today in many bands: the rock'n'roll. and overwhelming joy of playing. very much influences here than just straight up shredding.
damn, the vocalist is the BEAST!!! mind blowing riffs
What I like about this band the most is the sound keeps going and changing through each song. It starts one way and ends another; each song is an adventure of ear bleeding brain melting double penetrating metal.
And in one case, banjo. (Invidious)
+Shinbu1128 deliverance style
I am in love with that solo.
7 years later and that solo still slaps. It’s fucking awesome
Just saw these guys in Charlotte, they rule live. Literally I could barely tell any difference whatsoever from the studio recording to the live, also, Dave is an awesome dude, he even took a picture with me. Such a cool band.
First time i ever listend to a Revocation song and i hear a lot of Megadeth in their sound. Awsome riffs.
Yeah, from the Rust In Peace days.....man, wish they'd come back and make an album like that.
TheSaintberzerker Yup. Best album and metal line up ever imo
Fre Hed Agreed, like they sound like a blend of Megadeth and Death (Human, Individual thought patterns, and Symbolic era to me )
Trey Greypaws excellent comparison
@@treygreypaws3689 Prog Death/Thrash eh?
Involuntary headbanging just took over. No neck control anymore. I cant believe its taken me so long to get into these guys, this is fucking sick!
Holy fuck that drummer tho
These guys are phenomenal. This is the best band I've stumbled upon in months. Holy shit, I'm amazed.
the vocalist has the most hilarious case of anime eyes.
+Nyktalgia Peisithanatos lol
LOL!
~~~~kyaaaaa
(* ^ ω ^)
Hey isn't that racist
Dave's faces are epic
its crazy to see how much this band has evolved
Man this is thrashy and almost power metally lol they have changed for sure
AND they're currently recording a new record...these guys just can't stop creating awesomesauce!
If this doesn't get your leg boppin' I don't know what will.
That harmonized section is great .. Reminds me of some of the 'Arsis' licks.
11yrs later, still a fucking jam, this album.
I still remember the first time I saw them live w/ Bodom, about a year after Chaos of Forms dropped.
Stoked to see they have gone on to be one of the bigger bands in the scene.
Just discovered Revocation recently, and now I need a pit
I want that Testament shirt soooo bad!!!
ThrashAlpha I think I had that shirt. On the back it read "Perilous Nations" the front has a reporter or photographer getting his tongue ripped out. I bought it after the Practice What You Preach tour Testament, Annihilator and Wrathchild America(aka Souls at Zero)at The Vic in Chicago '89....yup, I'm old.
@@metaldad1967 I actually think the one he’s wearing is the Malpractice t shirt
revocation is just one of those bands where their songs grow on you immensely. Ive been listening to them since before Existence is Futile and heard all their songs a ton and they still become more powerful each listen.
Revocation , Lazarus AD , Evile and Havok... the new big 4
First heard this song on Spotify a few months ago and I fucking love it. Just amazing raw energy. These guys have a ton of great songs, and good to see them still active. Keeping my eyes peeled for a show in the eastern PA/NJ area!
Very well put. Thank you for defending the name that is 8 string guitars. I am a proud owner of one. And I love to see the look on peoples faces when I play it. And then dont break down. Best expressions ever.
I KNEW David was amazing in guitar, and I'd heard his vocals, but I never could put the two together until I saw this. I am amazed.
April 2010 Nitra, Slovakia.... Great performance!!!! This song is awesome....
Seriously like, the most talented band I've seen in a long time.
Almost a mil. Let's get it . Revocation for life
One of the greatest songs i've ever heard, this just jams!
Saw Dave on Herman Li's stream recently so I decided to check out Revocation. Holy fucking shit this band kicks ass.
I know right
... No words. Well one INTENSE!
Remembered this song after a few years. Still a banger
So much energy live
These guys are awesome. Dig their first album. Now their again fresher, like their styles. To add another guitar was a good idea. Wow - hope to see them live here in Austria.
These guys are the best thing to happen to metal in a long time
"Funeral" is one of my top 10 favorite metal songs; awesome.
One of the absolute best band out there right now!!
I want that testament shirt. I have this video on repeat baby!!!!
Tell me if you find it somewhere please. I think it's an old classic design :)
Revocation doing thrash right,and gettin it like you know they would.Loving the new album very much.
Seriously im listening to this again!!!
I just saw these guys today... well yesterday now. I got the privilege to meet Dave awesome guys and rev even signed the album i bought from them. Awesome fucking band that deserves much much much more respect. Super talented band.
I swear, I'm a metalhead from waaay back. These guys are to metal now that Iron Maiden was to metal then....thanks for coming out.
Those drums, the superb riffs/the vocals...i'm glad I decided to check this band out \m/ :D
Thrash with Technical Death influences....
Gotta Love It! \m/
Good to see they are heading more thrash than death, these dudes and Havok are the current KINGS of the new wave of thrash!!!!
No me canso de ver este video...que increible banda...tremendas remeras de Testamet y Atheist tienen puesta de esa escuela vienen y tienen mucho de ellos!!!!
I am so late to this party.... who are these guys?! Awesome!
i cant describe how much i love this band
This is sick, I wish I found out about these guys sooner! They should definitely be bigger.
I pride this every morning
opened for these guys a few months ago AWESOME!
Almost broke my legs trying to play this on drums, that's a sing a song is amzing.
These guys are great. Saw them a while back, they put on a kickass show. Definately cant wait to see more from you guys
Best revocation song
These song its so amazing, one of my favourites without a doubt! I hope they Will create more songs like this soon!
This song is so dense with notes, that it actually becomes an ideal background music (almost list lounge or chill), starter track on my coding setlist
best song ever from REVOCATION
God damn I need to see Revocation live again! They all have so much energy and sound amazing
absolutely amazing. props to this band. they deserve alot of respect and fans. really good job.
@WarriorOfMetal1986 That's the great thing about them, every song it's different form the rest, like the albums.
GOLDEN AGE OF METAL HAS REBORN
Forgot how much I love this song, this just cheered me the hell up! \m/
Full of energy. Yeah !
A tour with them and Havok would be so awesome.
2011 is such a good year for metal.
My favorite album from Revocation
I've liked them since day one....Brutal 👍
That malpractice shirt is sooo dope! old school thrash fan!!!
Favorite album of 2011.
revocation - evile - havok - lazarus AD, the new hope of the humanity
That harmonizing part gave me an aneurysm it was so good
Cd (REVOCATION Chaos Of Forms) in my bookcase, vid in my favs. Thanx 4 vid.
so awesome to hear a song without a breakdown for once
I mean there is a breakdown, but it's short, sweet, and tasteful and leads right into a face melting solo. The way breakdowns are supposed to be done.
This is the same kind of chorus they use in electro industrial music. That just sounds so great.
Thank you Relapse Records!!!!!
You beautiful bastards.
This rocks.
I love choruses like this. The almost kinda chant where everyone gets involved. It sounds sick!!
So grateful there's is good tabs for this. I can't wait to dumb hours into nailing this song on guitar. So fucking good, such good lyrics, how he does this and sing I'll never fully understand. Someday I hope to achieve the same level of skill.
The fuckin future of metal. These guys are about as awesome as it gets.
My favourite alarm sound ever
How is Revocation not one of the most successful metal bands right now? They are so much more approachable and listenable than some of the bands that are bigger. I have friends who don't listen to metal, but like Revocation. The songwriting is spot on, and the talent is unquestionable. This is what happens when metal goes to college.
Glad to see young thrash band playing as great!
THIS is true modern metal. Heavy Melodic Riffs and creative drumming based on Thrash and Death Metal.
@bchoun COB's old stuff has been my favorite for years. This band just took their spot
Saw them open for Bodom yesterday. It was one of the sickest shows of my life
What an impressive band with impressive musicians! Look and hear drums at 3:15 it is crazy!
best band I've heard in a long time
its refreshing to hear some thrash in the midst of all this pop metal they are putting out now
I LOVE THIS GUYS! Best song ever!
great band , good song
"Empire of the Obscene" = Awesome. "Existence is Futile" = Awesome. "Chaos of Forms" = Awesome!
Revocation are here to fucking stay!
You can hear how much classic metal and classic rock these dudes listen to. Lead guitarist reminds me of Michael Schenker and Marty Friedman :) The music is a totally fresh take on thrash. I likes.
16 year old me would be proud of 32 year old me for still listening to sick riffage like this!
These guys, Arsis and Obscura all perfectly describe what you said.
Man its been a good year for metal. With this, machine head but one bad note is Slayer. Hope they still tour.
I will play this song until it gets old.
Good music never gets old.
2:19 that riff could've been on Rust and Peace, it's that good.
just got my hands on the album... love it!
