    We have a few more tips for you:
    1. After washing the wok for the first time, never clean it again with dishsoap! Seasoning the pan creates a natural non-stick coating and helps prevent rusting. The burn-in process makes the wok perform better and better over time. If you would use soap to clean the wok, the non-stick coating may be affected and you may have to re-fire the wok.
    2. We recommend using a combination of Marabu charcoal and Binchotan as fuel to season the wok. The Marabu creates a steady base and because of the properties of Binchotan, very high temperatures can be reached. This makes the process of seasoning the wok a lot quicker.
    3. We would recommend using grape seed oil to burn in the wok. When burning in the wok, an oil with a high smoke point is usually used. In general vegetable oils such as corn oil, soybean oil and sunflower oil could be used. Note: do not use olive oil because the smoke point of this oil is much lower.
