    Good review, pretty much my impressions too. Got one August 2019. My only complaint is I should have ordered a medium instead of large. My head measures 59cm and the large is just a little big on me. But it leaves room for a knit cap for winter rides. The helmet is really well ventilated for summer and comfortable. Not really a roadie helmet, the brow comes down too low. But it wore it a lot during the summer on my road bike because it's so well ventilated compared with my Bell helmet. And like you said, it doesn't give us that mushroom head look like some POC helmets. Although some cyclists love that colorful toadstool look with the funky neon colors. The price has dropped since December 2019 on some sizes and colors.

    Did you have a difficult time adjusting the straps to get the fit right? I ordered a medium and it came yesterday. Fits the head well but I'm struggling with the straps.

      @richt1732  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      You know what, I don't seem to have a lot of problems with my straps although I have heard for them to twist and bunch up a lot.

    • @sebastiansepulveda2199
      @sebastiansepulveda2199 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Same problem. I simply cant adjust the straps right. Too long on front or back on M size, or too short on S size.

    • @theparalexview785
      @theparalexview785 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, that and the sizing were my only complaints. The "Y" junction below the ear can't be adjusted up and down. However it can be swung slightly forward or backward, which solved my fit problem. It takes a few minutes, scooting the straps through the plastic junction, but it helped. And the Omne Air Spin runs larger than POC claims.

    The helmets of this cute-looking brand are very fragile, since their material comes from recycled materials, for example, plastic, their aerodynamics are good, but their strength after the first hit drops considerably. These falls have a defect in the 100 of the head, they are very tight, THEY ARE MADE IN CHINA, so if quality is not completely safe.

    I had bought a different helmet on Amazon at the beginning of this summer for my big headed daughter to wear while bicycling and scootering. th-cam.com/users/postUgkx0ipcYkXV-2YCp_cBN3HLfzR_OoD0HQYx Well it was WAY too big and not adjustable at all. Previously we had really expensive but adjustable helmets from the local bike store and I didn't really want to pay $50 again for another helmet. I searched and was fairly sure from the reviews that this helmet was what I was looking for- and it was! The pads inside are comfortable, the rim in front provides a bit of shade, but most of all for me there is the dial adjuster in the back which allows for a really secure fit on my daughters head. It seems like it will fit for a few years too which makes me even happier! She loves the pattern and I might end up buying another one for her twin sister (who has a much smaller head!)I definitely recommend this helmet. My daughter is 5 but has a big head. Her twin sister could fit in this one as well but it's a bit big.

    • @richt1732
      @richt1732  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You are able to adjust them slightly however, it is only from one of the straps!

    • @richt1732
      @richt1732  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I do wish the straps were a little bit more comfortable, but to me it wasn't much of a deal breaker given the price that I bought it for. The next helmet I would have gotten would have been the giro synthe. Its just more pricey

      Just received the helmet today. It fits my head perfectly, but the strap quality is not as good as my old MET helmet. Another big issue is the Y strap (strap under your ear) is not adjustable. This is a design flaw and I'm going to return it since the straps don't fit my big ears.

    • @richt1732
      @richt1732  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey whats up! After time has passed, my thoughts are still pretty much the same. Its a great mid range priced helmet. If you have some room to spend more, then Id go with the Giro Synthe or another high end helmet with good reviews. But if your budget is $150 then this will be one of the better options out there.

    • @abu1950
      @abu1950 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Head Circumference S (50 - 56) M (54 - 60) L (56 - 62)
      , you could get M or L if you are going to wear a winter hat underneath etc.

    • @theparalexview785
      @theparalexview785 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Get the medium. The most common complaint about POC is their stated sizing vs real world experience. My noggin measures 59cm so I got the large. It's a little too big. I could have gone with the medium, no problem. Lighter weight too -- the large is a little heavy. Good helmet otherwise. Great ventilation, comfortable.

    • @thomasjackson4702
      @thomasjackson4702 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@theparalexview785 Great review, just purchased my head is 59.69cm, and I ordered a large which is to big. Are the physical exterior dimensions the same on both medium and large helmets?

    • @theparalexview785
      @theparalexview785 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@thomasjackson4702 I haven't been able to find any specified dimensions for POC but looking at videos of smaller riders wearing the medium, it does appear to be smaller in outer dimensions too.
      After wearing the Omne Air Spin several times with a knit cap this winter, the large was appropriate for my noggin. I can't quite fit my size medium Bell Formula MIPS with anything thicker than a bandana.
      And looking at photos other folks have taken of me wearing this POC, it doesn't look too large for my head. All POC helmets look oversize, but this one has less of a mushroom head look than the Ventral and Octal.
