Looks like the light rail (I assume the term "tram" might ruffle the feathers of the marketing department) - anyhow, I digress... Tske 2: looks like the enhancing the light rail infrastructure should be a serious benefit for the locals 👍
@@AndrewCastlemaine Well Stage 1 and 2 carry a lot more people than the buses ever did so I expect the same with 3. On board announcements call them ‘Trams!’
@@pgchase4578043026 No doubt they would come up with the usual sales pitch, something like “We have confidence in our hard working team who has struggled with unforeseen difficulties not helped by adverse weather Blah Blah Blah…..”
@@vsvnrg3263 No. When they have replaced rail in the past they have used concrete saws to cut slots wide enough to lift rails out, but I have not seen how hard or easy that is to do.
Thanks for the update

Maybe you could get a comment from those in charge as to the slowness of the project. Maybe they're all down working on the Sydney Metro...

I would say the trams (oh sorry light rail) may run in 2028 or 2030😮
@@peterausfranken no I won’t argue with that!
@tressteleg1 We will see😉
@@peterausfranken Funnily enough, but on board announcements call them ‘Trams!’
@tressteleg1 Oh my god🙄
@ I’m riding tram 12 right now. “Hold on. TRAM departing…..” and “Please leave on the left side of the TRAM”….
Construction, traffic changes are the hardest part. Thanks tressteleg1 for the update
@@scottyerkes1867 A lot more speed would not hurt.
Still 2 years to go, what a mess
Yes. Hopelessly slow
Construction is always the hardest part.
@@carisi2k11 Well in These 13 weeks Melbourne could have built at least 2 Km, not a miserable 650:metres.
