if tank to tank mileage is 30+ then definitely its kerb weight should have been reduced to achieve such a mileage like maruti. This will get 1 or 2 star GNCAP safety rating for sure. Please don't fall for mileage. Wait for GNCAP crash test and then decide.

Your review of i20 and altroz fuel economy is unfair and biased towards i20. You did not run the i20 at 90 plus speed with the same weight and wind direction etc . Therefore the results r not justified and are biased. Please make sure you are fair to all cars and take a proper balanced approach to tedting and reviewing in order to do justice. !
If this reading of 28.4 kmpl of MID shows in last part of journey then this is complete error or some wrong program bug stuck in MID dashboard.Tank to Tank 31 kmpl which is greater than MID so it proved MID is false along with note of use tank method.
On every milage test you should keep same speed of 90 for all the card then we can compare it ..... I watched Altroz video it was 90km/h & i20 is 80km/h

Why do you take the cut off point at a fuel pump as the method of filling in fuel? That will definitely not give a correct mileage figure. Hope you do a full tank to full tank basis to get the correct mileage.. Else this will definitely be a misguidance from your side

I do not believe this video. Actual mileage can never be more than mid figure. Some thing fishy here. I get 30+ mileage in my Nexon diesel MID for highway trips. However actual is around 24 to 25.

Shubham, do go thru our other fuel economy runs - we usually get a higher figure than the claimed (ARAI) figure. This happens during highway runs as the engine is spinning at lower RPM levels. ARAI or claimed runs are done in a variety of conditions, to simulate real world driving and this includes start-stop runs. Hence, ARAI or claimed at lower as compared to our non-stop highway runs. For pure city runs, the diesel will give an easy 15-16. However, if you commute in moving traffic where you are using the higher gears, expect 18-20 as well.
@@91Wheels I agree. ur non stop runs getting more fuel economy because of the ideal conditions such as non stop driving, maintaining a certain speed and rpm, highways without heavy traffic and low speed variations. But in actuality it's not possible to achive all these conditions on all indian highway's due to various factors. However your run tells us how to achieve more fuel economy if you drive a car the right way. 👍🏻

My Hyundai i20 2015 model gives 11kmpl in Bangalore city traffic and 16-17 kmpl on highway with 100-120 kmph speed
