It's all about the setup. If you have understeer in fast corners you can fix it. The setup part is one of the best in this game. Will make you op though.

While I'd have preferred if you had stayed on a team that allowed you to race, I don't mind watching your test drives too much - it's interesting to see how this aspect of the game works.
The sense of speed in this game is awesome, something id like to feel in the others which don't feel like you're driving a 200mph f1 car, although the physics are a bit unrealistic. I'd like codies try and implement the speed more, my Peugeot feels faster

I miss the time when there was real test drivers and private test sessions. It was cool, and permitted teams to get "back in the fight" if the car was bad at the beginning of the season. Plus it permitted some young drivers to be "super trained" like Lewis Hamilton. But yes, it costs a lot of money.
Code masters should do something like this. I think it might be a fun feature to do a Test driver thing and as you develop and get better get a spot on the team.
Hey Ben! Absolutely delighted to see this game back on your channel! Didn't you struggle at all during the camber test at Sepang though? I always lose the car in turn 2 with negative camber settings there. It's so frustrating.
This game is fun at certain moments. I can play on the hard difficulty and battle for positions and wins but the wet conditions and the AI' s overtaking maneuvers in some of the tracks are pretty terrible. They'll dive bomb you and possibly take you out if you're in the wrong place at the wrong time. The AI drive in wet conditions as if they're still on a dry track. And anytime you join a team as a rookie you always start as a test driver on big team unless you've already completed successful seasons before.
Not sure how many other people know the cheat, I've never looked in to it. For time trials all you have to do is turn around, drive back to sector one line and then the clock starts. Save yourself all of sector one on any circuit. Also if you beat the target time in 1 lap you do not have to carry on with the rest of them..

in 2006 i think the engines could go up to 1900rev. the limitation was implemented in 2007

To get better than test driver you need more points finishes for 2nd driver and wins for 1st driver not lap times

f1 championship edition always gets you to be a test driver at the top teams for 1 season
