Just when you think he's out of pointless ideas, he pulls out fucking stairs. There's truly no end to this series, it only gets more pointless from here. Looking forward to the next video on moss.
Shout-out to stairs outside Ulduar. Met my fiancée there in 2009ish, lost her to covid in 2020. Big memories. It's also on a plateau, so, totally unnecessary as you have to fly up there anyway.
Random Thought: Gul'dan could build the portal anywhere, but he was like: "Let's put it as far from every clan as we can, so these fool have to walk across the whole continent." What a logistic mastermind.
This is my first time actually watching one of these videos and I have to say, I had no idea you could have a good taste on stairs but you manage to do it Big ups kara stairs
Very happy to see the ZF stairs ranked so highly on the list! I must have ran that instance 100s of times but it still has never gotten old to me. Love that place and those iconic stairs :)
literally was questing in mop remix and came across the 100 steps and was like "this would be a great crendor top 10 of stairs" low and behold u make this video. All those top 10 were nicely placed too!
Thanks Crendor. The length of this video is exactly the amount of time it took me to eat my lunch today. I'm not sure how you planned that out so well. You sir, are perfection in human form.
Path of 100 Steps is the default way to Kun-Lai Summit, as a leveler with no flying this was the only way to get there. (other than parkour into the dreadwastes or swimming the coasts.)
when i saw the name of the video i thought: stairs? what's good about stairs? Then i watched it, and there are some amazing stairs in wow, thank you sir.
Don't forget the Icecrown Citadel stairs were featured front and center at the beginning of the Shadowlands cinematic Where Sylvanas gots to confront Bolvar.
So agreed on number 1. I didn't play during the expansion and my first time seeing the steps was when I was doing the brew master monk artifact weapon quest during dragon flight.. before mop remix. I got major sidetracked and it was awesome.
I salute the guy who came up with cthun and his model. A giant eyeball monster in a place filled with sand... No wonder he is trying to destroy everything 😂
The stair of destiny reminded me of a certain individual there. Holding the line for the Horde is one "Melgromm Highmountain," a tauren wielding a totem. Importantly, this NPC has been there since the Burning Crusade, long before the Highmountain tribe of Tauren first appeared. So is his name mere coincidence, or is he really a tauren from Highmountain that found their way into the horde long before their fellows? Perhaps there were a number of highmountain tauren living on Thunder Bluff, cut off from the rest of the tribe for whatever reason. Even still, he uses the standard tauren model we're used to. Who knows, but it's a good incidental NPC that invites speculation, maybe he can find his way onto one of these top 10's someday.
Well we know the Highmountain tribe existed before the Sundering, and had normal horns like other tauren until Malorne blessed Huln during the War of the Ancients, so presumably some were in fact left behind on Kalimdor when the original supercontinent was broken. There's one among the Death Knights in Acherus too, with regular horns, so it seems as though only the tauren of the broken isles gained the antlers.
6:20 I give these stairs bonus points because they are some of the only stairs to get a big cinematic moment where Sylvanas is in front of ICC at the start of Shadowlands. Imagine how much better that cinematic would've been if they didn't do a jump cut and actually had Sylvanas climb *all those stairs.*
All these staircases remind me of the staircase scene from Howl's Moving Castle, the one part Miyazaki added to the story that seems to have pleased and impressed Diana Wynne Jones. It's just a few lines of environmental storytelling in the book, and the Witch of the Waste isn't even there. But in the movie...
Fun fact: most of the sand in and around the halls of origination is actually not sand but ash....from the charred corpses of the countless mogu and zandalari troll warriors who ever killed by the reorigination matrix when they tried to conquer uldum
Definitely agree on the 100 steps being an good one, but I'm honestly surprised that the steps to the Frozen Throne weren't #1 or even on the list. Those are probably the more recognisable/iconic stairs in the entire Warcraft franchise. I thought for sure that they'd be #1 especially after the emphasis on "outside" when mentioning Icecrown.
6:30 I think it'd be more that the Litch King would want a big imposing building that was seen for miles around. That usually involves putting it up on a tall foundation, which would then require a long staircase to get to.
Crendor, you have to kill the jailer at the top of the ZF stairs and loot his key, then open the cages for the event to start, it doesn't just 'start' when you go up there. Not bugged out, you just didn't start the event.
I feel like there was a lost opportunity to make #1 be the stairs that are at the highest point in the game because they would be above all other stairs making them the literal top 10 stairs.

And my dumb ass thought it would be the "Stairs of Lag" from Karazhan. The one leading up from the entrance area. My poor ole toaster tried really hard but couldn't perform more than .5 fps with the heavy aoe and amount of mobs.

this video really had me going "oh fuck yeah, those are some good stairs"
Lol I KNOW MAN….. so true
And ive been a skateboarder for like 25 years, so double fuckin whammy lololol

RiP..
Sorry for your loss :( but the Memory will last forever with you!
rest in peace, sorry for the loss brother
not me tearing up over a comment about stairs...
My condolences man
Words to live by. “Sometimes it’s whats around the stairs that matters”
Have we had "Pointless Top 10: Campfires in Places You Can't Believe Have Campfires?" Because that one just after the spider boss in LBRS is a cinch.
11:09 That "Whats your luckydo" felt so good to hear, pure nostalgia!
Random Thought: Gul'dan could build the portal anywhere, but he was like: "Let's put it as far from every clan as we can, so these fool have to walk across the whole continent." What a logistic mastermind.
Did you miss the part about the ley lines? There is a reason they made it there.
It was actually close to the Bleeding Hollow clan, right outside their doorstep
Stairs!? We are so back, baby! LET'S GO!!!
I breathed such a sigh of relief when my favorite stairs were number one. I shouldn't have worried, because they're absolutely iconic
This is my first time actually watching one of these videos and I have to say, I had no idea you could have a good taste on stairs but you manage to do it
Big ups kara stairs
You're the only person on the planet who can make stairs interesting.
Very happy to see the ZF stairs ranked so highly on the list! I must have ran that instance 100s of times but it still has never gotten old to me. Love that place and those iconic stairs :)
the fact that I only touched wow when I was like 8 and even I know the burning crusade portal really says something about it
Is the crendor bb2 discord still open? Was wanting to play in a league
I love crendor dropping HGTV references.

Good point! Maybe I'm missremembering but don't you also get to take a boat there through a cave with Vol'jin in a quest?
@@farphos yes you're right, that's right at the top of the path, just past the tavern and old black market.
... because next to the stairs is treasure.
He said the thing!
when i saw the name of the video i thought: stairs? what's good about stairs?

Never forget these are pointless.
Warcraft logic:
The troll living in Huts: hunched back.
The trolls living in dazar alor: straight spine
6:02 crendor calling Sylvanas broke

Speaking as someone who's main is a Forsaken who's boney toes would get caught on those bottom stairs going up, all stairs are serious business.
I feel like the unclimable stairs of Ulduar could've made the list but it is a strong list.
I salute the guy who came up with cthun and his model.
A giant eyeball monster in a place filled with sand...
No wonder he is trying to destroy everything 😂
Crendor: "maybe its not as windy here"
Crendor's Video: *clear wind animations in the shot*
this series has really helped me more appreciate the little things in a game, thanks!
First time I have heard someone say “I love BFA” but I agree the art in BFA is so good.
It's too many stairs man I can't make it!!! That got me good.
Some real classics in here. Love that area in Kara, cool vibes. WoW has some good stairs lol
I'm pretty sure the Broken Stair is the smallest map in the game. I love how simple that map is and how fast my marker moves over it as I run up.
Thank you for numbers 6 and your words about bfa. Same here: music and art (and quest zones) were great
surprised you didnt put Zul Drak in there somewhere. I love the stairs in that zone
The dungeon of well of the eternity had a cool stairs while U go and meet queen Azshara is like a Glass stair ❤️
My favorite step is the first one. :^)
big fan of the stairs in SFK personally
Top 10 wallpapers when (especially goblin buildings)
"broken stairs are just kinda cool right?" reminds me of that "i looooooove refrigerators" idk why

I 100% expected the Zul'Drak entrance stairs on this. That's the beauty of pointless top 10's lmao
You have successfully capitalised on my nostalgia. I guess I must subscribble.
"maybe someone roleplay walked up the stairs" me! i did! i think i was also just curious how long it would take to walk up them tho lol
the black rook hold stairs with the boulders rolling down would fit on this list :d
To continue the ZF stairs madness, to get the mallet you have some at the time insane stairs to conquer in hinterlands aswell
Excellent choice for number one
loving these videos so much
i love this series idk if ive seen them all though. if u haven't done it you should do pointless too 10 flightpaths
glad we agree about bfa art, i dont think theyve topped it since. the music too. nice video
I watch every single one of these and I will watch every single one that ever comes out of this endless pointless series.
Thought it was the Path of 1000 Steps. Oh well. It reminds me of Po's mortal enemy.
I’ve stopped playing WoW but still love these videos
What about the Burning Steppes?
YESSS THANK YOU

Got this vid recommended at 3am. Right on the money
this has got to be THE QUINTESSENTIAL MOST POINTLESS of all of all pointless top 10 😂😂😂❤
Didnt know stairs could be so pointless...i love it!
one of the better pointless top 10, I gotta say
Back in 2009, I definitely ground mount ran up those stairs multiple times until I could afford flying
A nice pointless start to Sunday!

Pointless top 10: Flightmasters' mounts (not all use gryphons, some use bats/planes/etc.) would be cool :D
Best stairs Zul'Farrak
Crendor sure got the best wow content
I agree!
I didn't know I was so invested in stairs until I watched this video.
6:30 I think it'd be more that the Litch King would want a big imposing building that was seen for miles around. That usually involves putting it up on a tall foundation, which would then require a long staircase to get to.

Legend says that the stairs to Icecrown Citadel ar untouched to this day.
How about Pointless Top 10 Zone Maps? Or perhaps zone shapes? Like Darkshore being a thin strip of coast
Who knew stairs could be so nostalgic.
I feel like there was a lost opportunity to make #1 be the stairs that are at the highest point in the game because they would be above all other stairs making them the literal top 10 stairs.
You are 100% right about bfa
Say what you will about Shadowlands, but Sylvanas walking up the Ice Crown stairs in the trailer was tense.
still no top 10 skybox, some of them are truly spectacular
take a sip every time you hear the word "stair"
I got a good workout in just by watching this.
BFA zones are my favorite for leveling.
I hate sand.
it gets everywhere
Shut up Anakin!
Is the crendor bb2 discord still open?
It's honestly impressive it took him this long to get to stairs.

Top 10 Banners, perhaps?
One thing that makes the World feel alive is of course the Stairs of Warcraft.
Dazar Alor has all these stairs but only two elevators leading up to the throne. Guess It's Good To Be The King.
Is there a pointless top 10 poop quests? Cuz I feel like there’s at LEAST 10 quests related to poop
Damn my boy really scrapping for that content like stairs really 😂😂😂 love ya vids tho
one day maybe we'll get pointless puddles
I have been farming Karazhan for four weeks trying to get the t4 token from the Curator on Cata Classic...I did not excpet nor appreciate the mention of those stairs...I always get cursed bad whenever I climb them.

I thought this was Top 10 pointless stairs in WoW.
You have the 100 step stairs but no shout out to the stairs of folly and the hammer of folly in the veiled stairs
BFA art design was peak. Need me more melancholy human kingdoms
Waiting for Top 10 Lampposts
And my dumb ass thought it would be the "Stairs of Lag" from Karazhan. The one leading up from the entrance area. My poor ole toaster tried really hard but couldn't perform more than .5 fps with the heavy aoe and amount of mobs.
