Those Zeiss lenses are great! I have adapted the 25 and 135 to my Canon. The Yashica/Contax camera looks fun. I might try it in the future. This is the first time that I've seen an explanation of the depth of field scale on the lens.
I still have a confusion when loading up the film. Until when or how many times do we have to pull the advance film lever when the film is attached like what you did in 13:33 so we know that the camera is ready to capture photo or not? Thank You
Hey! You can look at the frame counter. Advance and fire the shutter until the "0" is in the middle of the frame counter. Then you won't have any light leaks on your photo (-: Thanks for watching! - Connor

Thank you so much for this tutorial and your website is very useful too, would you suggest a shutter speed of 500 and above to take pictures outdoors with moving subjects? Also I am using Kodak Vision3 250d which has an iso of 250 so should I use the 400 option since thats the one after 100..
Normally, 1/250s is good enough for slow motion and 1/500s or above is best for faster motion or sports. If you set the ISO between the 100 and 400 setting you should get ~ 200, which should give you accurate exposure with 250D. You can also expose 250D at 400 ISO and likely be fine (-: Thanks for watching! - Connor
The aperture should like up with the line on the center of the lens. It should also face straight up towards the top of the camera when the lens is mounted to the camera. Hope that makes sense! - Connor
Are you sure it's a Yashica FX-3 and not a Yashica FX-3 Super or FX-3 Super 2000? Those are basically the improved versions of the original FX-3. These models don't have a back button for the light meter. The light meter is activated in these models by half-pressing the shutter button when batteries are installed. Thanks for watching! - Connor

Yes! The Yashica 50mm 1.9 is a good lens. I have it and I also have Carl Zeiss lenses. The Yashica is not very far behind.

Hi! The Yashica FX-3 is a 35mm film camera. Photos can only be seen after finishing a roll of 35mm film and processing/digitizing it. Thanks!

and to select the aperture it should line up with red dot on the body of the camera?
The aperture should like up with the line on the center of the lens. It should also face straight up towards the top of the camera when the lens is mounted to the camera. Hope that makes sense!
