I remember when you said that you dont expect any strong villians in this arc, meanwhile Lucci is absurdly strong, even Blueno which is much weaker than lucci is a really strong opponent for luffy. Thats why water 7 is such a great arc, it develops straw hats relationships and gives us CP9 which are really good villians
That’s true! After watching the Long Ring Long Land arc, I expected this arc to be more emotional than action-packed-that the strongest opponent would be Franky and that the main focus would be on the Straw Hats' bonds. The previous arc with Foxy already highlighted how important those bonds are for the crew. I have to say, I like CP9 as villains way more than Franky-they feel much more refined, if I can put it that way. Plus, even if they manage to rescue Iceburg and bring Robin back, there’s no guarantee that the crew will stay together… We’re already quite deep into this arc, and I honestly have no idea what’s going to happen next!
Usopp is a smart guy! I think he quickly put the facts about the ship together and assessed the situation accurately. The problem, in my opinion, is that he wasn’t there for the conversation between Luffy and Iceburg-when Iceburg criticized Luffy for being a bad captain in regard to the ship.
@@DorianTheReaper I wonder now if Usopp is capable of feeling the same emotions and attachment toward other crew members as he does for the Going Merry.
@GiraffeReactionsZone i absolutely think he does. I just think he is scared that if they let the Merry go once it's useless to them that they might do the same to him if he ever becomes useless. He is scared they'll leave him next. He loves the crew and wants to be with them but he is being stubborn out of fear

It's so sad to realize that if Usopp knew all along but still couldn't give up on the merry

@GiraffeReactionsZone i think if Usopp was there he still wouldn't have accepted it there but just blamed Luffy even more.
