    You only want to use silicone based grease on plastic gears , but grease really isn’t necessary for plastic.

    plastic gears usually dont need greese. depending on the type of greese you use it can break down the plastic and make it brittle.

      Yes that is true in some cases but this truck has bushings and the steel shafts are dry on the brass bushings that's a lot of heat and friction

    bronze bushings and nylon gears are better left dry especially at low rpm

    If you feel the inclination to add grease to plastic, it gas to be pure silicone divers grease that contains no added plastic corrosives. FYI: Grease is not recommended for Plastic gears, gas been known to do more harm than good.

    No grease more saving money, the o rings I would put some heat shrink over them for now.

      The heat shrink is a brilliant idea Malcom

    My transmission and front differential ate themselves within the first day. Going to open up when my parts get here.

    I wonder if they do that cause they know you’re gonna put the low gears in em

    Also I opened all the shocks on 3 separate TRX-4m’s and there was only a drop of oil. Refill all of them like they should be and it will be so much better

    Only grease if using outdoors in damp conditions. No point if using inside or rock crawling

    you don't need any geese really for plastic gears if anything for that small rc put Olive oil in there just a tad it works like wd40

    • @AdventureTimeRC
      @AdventureTimeRC  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That might be OK for bearings my friend but this truck comes with bushings they have to have grease or the steel shafts will wear the brass bushings out very fast and your gears will start skipping 😀

      The steel shafts siting in brass bushings I think should have grease at any speed would benefit from grease I work in a plant that runs brass bushings on machinery that i maintenance and when they don't get greased it really wears out fast and Gears start striping teeth from the slop just my opinion
