Each Tilian Dance Gavin Dance album has that one song, that one song... Jesus H. Macy, Awkward, Chocolate Jackalope, Hair Song, Parody Catharsis... Jon and Tilian come together with the crew's instruments to make something so depressively melancholic yet energetic and beautiful. I'm happy to know this band. I always will be.

When you first hear a band, you’ve heard of the band but you’ve slept on their music. Not quite sure why you just never took the time to listen. One day you’re digging for new music on TH-cam and randomly come across a song by that band, the moment you hear it, it slaps, it hits, like a drug! Like a drug you quickly become addicted. So this is hands down my favorite DGD song now. The guitar riff in the beginning right after the bit where jons screaming starts was indescribable (its melodic and seemingly reverberates up somehow) I didn't catch it at first, Tim went above and beyond for alot of the tracks on this album and Its bittersweet hearing the full album knowing it'll be his last. It seems fitting he left behind one final masterpiece/album for us to enjoy. RIP Tim
I feel like this albums tells the past present and future. Old friends and dreams that you can't stand to think of anymore, Parts of your life that simply dont exist any longer. Places you've gone, things you've done, it all correlates to the person you are today. Me and my boyfriend have decided after living north for 20 years, we're deciding to move down south. All new people, places, things, a new life/ Leaving behind everything that comforts us in hopes to look at life from a different angle. I feel the exact same way. Each album represents a different chapter in my life that correlates with the album's themes at the time. The callbacks feel like thinking of those earlier times in my life and the way I felt at the time. I relate with the music so much that DGD somehow tells my personal story of the past, present, and future in each of their albums with their own spin on it of course.
Exactly. Every single album, but especially with Tillian. My girl is a HUGE fan and she actually got me really into them.
