Love your points, one mistake that I have found is setting goals, but not reviewing them or adjusting them with current lifestyle. So this could fall into point 10 not making time to plan

Being retired I really do not need to plan but use my planner more for memory keeping or just putting down what I did that day. Love your videos.

I'm an artist and was told to use the paper-like screen protector right as I got my iPad. One thing I hardly see anyone point out is that it will dissolve the nib on your pen MUCH faster. While I still like the paper-like screen protector, I buy a pack of nib covers which makes it easier for me to write and will save you from having to replace the nib twice as often! The nib covers are cheap and you still get some traction without the screen protector grinding away at the nib point.

What’s the difference between a nib cover and just a replacement nib? To avoid the problem I just purchased a pack of cheap replacement nibs so that they wear down not the original

They also don’t tell you how it makes the screen look different.

    Great video!! Thanks a lot!
The thing I struggle the most with when it comes to digital planning is simply how addictive it is…. When I sit down in front of my iPad and get to my digital planner, it is SUCH an ENJOYABLE thing to do that I just get completely lost in my digital planner and end up spending literally hours enjoying the sound of the Apple Pencil against my paperlike screen protector….
This is the mistake I make… loving the digital planning way too much and ending up writing in my digital planner for hours just like journaling…
Being a working mum of 3, this is counterproductive and I just can’t spend so much time on my iPad.
Will be working hard on that !

Honestly, it really surprised me how much goes into writing (just on paper....how much we take for granted). I remember studying a bit about it in medical school, in an anatomy related class but had not actually fully grasped it all until, well, I began using a digital planner using my apple pencil. Oh, and, of course, watching/reading things such as this/tutorials that go over how to better get a more realistic writing experience while using a stylus etc. It has been, not only helpful but it just overall piqued my interest and I admit, I may have obsessively started reading a lot of pub med type articles and went back to med school texts, called my aunt who is a kinesiologist etc.
Also, I love that you bring up the topic of the "perfect" journal (sorry, but is it just me or are so many of us that use these lovely journals even if for fun, a wee bit on the perfectionist end of things? 🤣). As a lifelong perfectionism and NOT always in a beneficial way, I now basically try to see it this way :
Perfection would honestly make life so dull. The thing that keeps my life interesting is that I have so many things I can learn, skills I can gain or improve upon, things to simply discover....perfection would be akin to stagnation of development of both mind and imagination.

I used my cracked 2 year old iPhone 13 with goodnotes for a few weeks before I finally got myself an iPad and I am happy I started there first because I got used to the using the app, what works for me and what doesn’t, etc. and so when I got my iPad I was already ready with the planner(s) I liked and already set up. I don’t recommend using your phone if you can get an iPad I would recommend it buying it lol otherwise I found out that there were some planners that were made for phone sizes so if you really can’t get yourself an iPad then check those out. Just for anyone who are struggling to want to start or just waiting for n iPad or Samsung tablet whatever, just start now!

What i missed in digital planners was flexibility to change my sections and adding sections. I am the girl who needs all of her information in one place and have it visible on the tabs. I have tried (what it feels like a miljon planners) now i am in your undated everything planner and it comes really close to what i need❤️

Thank you for sharing. I purchased a digital planner on impulse and wish I had done more research for there are better options out there. But I realized I could make the planner reflect my style by following your tips and tricks. My suggestion to others would be to not feel stuck and try out new things. I think what you are asking is out side of the scope of her tutorial. Ask your friends what tablet devices they use ( they can then help you if you get stuck) or do research online ... or go to a store that sells computer goods - and please tell them that you only need basic and not full blown gizmo's, gadgets, spinning wheels, - the store will probably "up-sell" so please be careful. Trust your friends and family
