After years of reading on my iPads, I switched 2 years ago to a simple Kindle Paperwhite. I love it, it is much gentler with my eyes, which is good because I can read for hours. I also find it way easier to hold, as the iPad is a lot bigger and heavier.
I love my paperwhite as well.
I have a Kindle Scribe as well as a Paperwhite. I enjoy the Scribe way more than I anticipated especially since I like making notes on books when I read. The paperwhite fits right in a bag for trips. Battery life is amazing. I have an M2 iPad Pro 11” rn for all my digital planning needs (and let’s be honest, any other thing in life). It gets a lot of use and I love it. Had to downsize from the 12.9” because that thing was huge.
ha! I just did the same, years after using 12.9, decided it was enough
I only have a mini and love it ! It’s a little small for the planning . I had an original iPad Pro that I used a lot at first then then never touched it. When I decided I wanted an iPad again I couldn’t decide and went with the mini. I have a kindle paper white for reading and it is so awesome. I had an oasis which was ok but gave that away and got the paper white
I have a 2018 11” Pro and an M2 12.9” Pro - I was close to getting rid of my 11” but now that it’s older I find it the perfect device to take on a holiday or other trip where I may need access to a computer. With it being older now I’m less cautious about it being damaged or lost compared to the M2 Pro, so it’s a nice device to keep around. Considering they are barely worth anything used anymore it’s probably worth just keeping it
Just got an iPad mini. So excited to incorporate it in my daily routine!
Thanks for the Libby recommendation! Awesome application I had no idea existed thank you!
I have two iPads (Air 5 and Mini 6), and I use them both for different things! I do a lot of work on the Air, and media consumption on the Mini. But I also have a Kindle Paperwhite for reading. I tend to read on the Kindle the most in the evening or when I'm outside, but I'll switch to the Kindle app on whatever I'm carrying. I can make a use case for all of them!
I just love your channel. I always learn something new that I can do with my ipad. Thanks for sharing!
I have two, a 12.9 pro and the Mini 6. Helpful video!
Now, I only use an iPad 10. I put my desktops in storage along with my laptop.
Everything I do can be done on an iPad and keyboard case. My accessories include a micro SD card reader and Logitech stylus.
I also use Procreate. The app replaced all other graphics apps. I switched from Office to Pages, Keynote and Numbers. I have lost nothing and I am just as productive.
The iPad has made my life easier and everything I need to do gets done.
Great video, keep going.
I would highly recommend using an actual kindle for reading. I find that it is gentler on my eyes plus there is no distractions as it is solely for reading.
ipad has a focus feature you can set up to force you to get off, or force ONLY reading time or any chores you need done. And you can bring the brightness way down along with nightmode, and making the screen yellow which helps eye strain ;)
Love your video! I use two iPads, also! My iPad Pro 12.9 and the iPad Mini. 😊
I also use two iPads. I have the iPad Air that I mostly use for grad school work and occasionally in my job and the iPad Mini that I use for digital organization and just like you, for reading. I also felt it was redundant to have a Kindle and an iPad and I actually love reading and consuming video content on my mini.
I pad mini looks so cute awww
I use 2 iPads right now. Since I travel full time in North America, I use one iPad Pro for all my mapping apps, campground searching apps, and for TH-cam studio for one of our channels, Netflix, and other apple+ and other video streaming apps. This one has a cell connection. The other iPad Pro is used for the other TH-cam channel, my personal apps like GoodNotes, Procreate, KnitCompanion, Duolingo, and more personal items. I tether to use cell data on that one.
But, thanks for the app recommendations at the end. I have a couple I’m gonna check out. But, looks like I have to upgrade at least one of the iPads to use FCPX…still ❤debating if I want to do that or continue using my MacBook Pro 🤔
I love this kind of video ❤
i got my ipad abour 6 months ago and i still feel that i'm not using it to its full potetial, thank you so much this helps a lot !!! also what font do you use on canva it's so cute
my life hack of the week: I use my ipad air with an origami style folio case and I just learned that when I‘m in the kitchen, I can just stick the ipad to the door of my fridge. The magnets are absolutely strong enough for the door, it doesn‘t stick to the side though. But if you use this type of case, give it a try, it‘s been a game changer the past couple of days
i currenlty use my ipad mini to take note and read. i already had a ton of books that i bought on the book app and i felt like it was just easier for me to get an iPad over a kindle. I've set it up to when i'm reading at night that the screen get more of a warmer tone and i haven't had any issues with it.
Hi, I'm interested to know what digital planner you are using? I'll check out your other videos too, but please let me know as I'm looking at starting to do some digital planning. Thank you! Stephanie
I love you content and planners. I have an iPad and a nook… I plan on getting a mini to replace my nook.
I totally have a Kindle and an iPad. I read exclusively on my Kindle but then journal my thoughts about my books in my GoodNotes journal. 🎉.
I have the mini and the pro 11. I got the mini at first for mainly school but it’s not big enough for reading and writing notes at the same time so I got the pro 11 to carry around plus it’s too heavy to me. My ADHD and other stuff kicked in so school is on the back burner for now.
Hi! Quick question: I have the flourish planner. If I delete some pages, will that mess up the links within the planner?
this made me want an ipad. i have a ipad mini (second gen i think) but rarely use it unfortunately - especially now since i can't get any newer updates. however watching this video i could see myself looking into the ipad market again & actually using it for a more productive, organization; creative purpose. now comes the question should i go back mini, or get a bigger boy ipad
thank you so much for talking about Libby now i can read books for free (I’m on a budget) 😊 wow such a life saver as I want to get into reading but not sure if it will be for me (-:
I love these videos lol
Thank you ❤
could you make a reading journal tutorial for notion please?
I have 2 of them too but one mini and one is the 9th generation. I use 9th generation mostly for home use and note taking on good notes. Mini is more for journaling, reading or planning 💜 I like my kindle too but sometimes I’ll go back and forth depending on what I’m doing.
Your subscribers are in a different tax bracket clearly why does everyone have two iPads 😂
If you’re going to comment something negative like that, you should at least watch the video so that your comment doesn’t look dumb. She clearly says why she has two iPads!
@@NightOwlLisa I think you are the one who looks dumb right now because I’m talking about the comments (subscribers) not her!! Reading comprehension is key 🔑
@@NightOwlLisathey’re talking about all the comments from people that don’t make content and also have two iPads… you should learn to read before leaving negative comments 🤭
@@Brimoe18 their comment doesn’t say that. Who wants to read every comment on a video they didn’t make? -signed, Blue Collar Lover!
I have two iPads and a Samsung tablet. I’m an IT nerd 🤣
Just got an iPad 10th gen and playing around with so many of your tips! An unrelated question - where is your desk orb light from? It looks so dreamy!
Love the video and I have 3 iPads lol. The iPad mini 6 iPad pro 11in and iPad pro 9.7in . I use them all for different things. I love the iPad (not for work I'm retired)
I have two iPads too - iPad Pro and iPad Mini. And I have a Kindle - I totally prefer reading on my Kindle than my iPad Mini. It’s so much better on my eyes and I feel like I am less fatigued!
then what you usually do on your ipad pro?
I have a couple size iPads also, the mini is one. I also have the paper white Kindle which I prefer for reading. I also use Libby and I find the reading on the kindle keeps me reading and not stopping to surf the web which I do in my iPads.
great video thanks
Yesss finally someone mentioning Libby! Also you can open most of the books you borrow in kindle
How do you balance screen time guilt with productivity and entertainment? Between work, journaling, and entertainment, I could be on my iPad literally all day. How do you handle either the guilt or the health factors of it?
To read I invert the screen colours and hence get a black screen with white fonts which is quite relaxing and comfortable.
Which font do you use in your TH-cam thumbnails?? BTW, Great Video. ❤
I also have two ipads. Same sizes as you. I use my mini as a travel ipad and for reading on my kindle app mainly.
I would be interested in…. do you use a laptop as well? With your business does the laptop play a significant role? Are you creating the digital journals on your laptop/desktop or are those created on the iPad? Well done video, very enjoyable and informative!
On my business channel (I don’t want to self promote, so I’m not sharing it here), I did a video showing you can create a fully-featured planner from the iPad Mini. Using the Mini because it’s the least “powerful” in the lineup, and even it can do it. There are some frustrating differences between Keynote for MacOS and Keynote for iPadOS that will make it faster & easier to do on a computer (primarily, page linking) - but it’s all completely doable from the iPad family. But depending on which iPad you have, you can expect things to start to slow down once you hit the ~250 page mark or so, because the file starts getting so large. That’s where it started to strain on the Mini. The M1 never blinks an eye. Because my brand is built around replacing computers with tablets (for personal life - so you can spend more time off the leash of a power cord), I create all my products on iPads. I won’t lie, though… it does take longer.
Hod did make the vision board , what’s the app called ? Great video by the way 🥰
Love this! Can you do a tutorial on how to create a thumbnail on procreate?
Which is the app you used for brainstorming part?
Where can I get the gray shirt?! I sort of love it😍
They send you iPads?! How do I get that job? 😅💜 love your videos!
Cloud Library too! 3:30
Now I want to read ACOMAF again… probably one of my top 5 favorite books!
I have an iPad mini that I use for digital planning, watching shows and relaxation.
How do you manage to transfer video footage onto your iPad to edit videos? There isn't any usb port and I have the iPad pro 12.9 inch. Do you transfer through somewhere else? and also just one other question...how do you keep your battery life up when you use it for so many things?
what camera do use?
Is there an app you used for Vision boards before using MyMind?
Do you sell a book tracking template for notion? I would love one
The moment I saw in your opening theme song "Betty" from TS I decided to watch your whole video 🤩
I appreciate you 🫶
I have one. Can't see why I'd need two, except for getting another cute Burga case for it, lol
Silly question here, don’t judge me 😅 😂 umm, if I just wanted to get in to creating little stickers, create mood/vision or brainstorm boards, would you suggest Canva or Procreate? I don’t social media a ton, like posts, definitely not artistic (just like digital coloring), but I just get bored sometimes and like to play. I love your planners! Last year was my first time with planning digitally and I’m really enjoying it! Thank you!! I’m behind on these things to be honest 😂, thanks for your help!
I would say go for procreate if you want to draw stickers or anything + create mood boards n all. Sky is the limit for procreate while canva is more of a design tool, you can easily create mood boards but wouldn't be good for drawing. So it's upto you, If you want to draw, get creative and create boards then procreate is the go-to option else for designing aesthetic mood boards canva is the tool. Or always you could mix and match both tools and get the most out of both. Hope it helps :)
@@karthikjayaraj941 Thank you so much for the response, greatly appreciated. Just trying to dabble and stay busy some in a mad world, lol. I will possibly give it a try
@@mannyash406 I understand you. And you're welcome:) Hope things get better for you!
I do not have an iPad, but I would recommend you to use the kindle to read. It helps me to just read and do not get interrupted by social media notifications or something else.
Freeform is good for moodboard
I read on the Kindle and nook apps and also use Libby
I have 2 ipads too, an ipad pro 2022 and an ipad air 2013. Since the 2013 limits what apps I can use, I just use it for reading and watching stuff but my ipad pro is getting a keyboard soon and I’m gonna use it for school.
I like the paperwhite kindle, so I can read in the sunshine
3:12 noted :)
Can you teach us how to edit on procreate!
Hii wherés your ball lamp from?
If you were to only have one iPad for everything, reading, taking notes (working on your lap, in bed) etc would you go for 11” or 12.9?
What apps for creative work, you use apart from procreate.
I have both iPads too, and I feel so seen lol 😂
Hmm I wish I was this digitally organized
I have the 12.9 but my problem with 12.9 it's tooooo heavy :( idk if I need to downsize
Hi such app use for mod boarding?
HA, I also have two iPads. The 12.9 pro, and mini 6th gen, but I do the opposite. I use the big one more like a laptop with the Magic Keyboard always attached and also the big one is for media and net surfing. The small one is strictly for journaling, reading, note taking. No media and no games on the mini. I also use the pencil on the mini. I honestly love this setup and they both feel so different. ❤😊
Can notability be used as well, but it seems most people use goodnites
I have the same 2 ipads
As a fellow double ipad girly I feel this. I use my pro mainly for work as a multi-disciplined creative in the tourism industry for graphic design, illustration and now working on learning animation, and then my ipad 10th gen is for personal use/life management and school. It feels excessive sometimes but it really is helpful having the two different functions that both sync lol
I have found my people! I am so glad I am not the only person with 2 iPads. I also have a iPad mini and iPad 12.9.
I get migraines really easy from excess screen use and i NEED my kindle to survive
Try going to a park or the beach and read with an ipad, then read with a kindle/kodo then you will know why those 2 are better for reading than an ipad.
ipad is my dream ...
An e reader is not necessarily better for the eyes as the iPad screen is very good and the night light in my e reader can be at times very tiring
i have the 12.9 and i literally just watch youtube and color 😭😭 im an ipad baby
Always a Kindle for reading.
I only read on my kindle if I’m reading a novel. If I’m reading manga, a magazine, or a book with lots of photos like a cookbook, I’ll use my iPad. For travel, I don’t bring both a kindle and iPad, I just use my iPad.
this is kinda unrelated but anyone know why I couldn’t download a court of mist and fury on my kindle app?
I have both an iPad and an e-reader and I say it depends on your reading habits a lot. If you read in smaller chunks of time then the iPad is fine. If your read for hours at a time or before falling asleep, go e-reader.
My kindle is way easier on my eyes and I never get notifications so I never lose focus lol
I’m 70% sure I’m getting this for my birthday next month
I use my Kindle to read outside.
Do you have iOS 17!?
I've got a kindle (first) and an ipad. For me it's impossible to read comfortably on iPad (it's my opinion) - my eyes hurt because of the bright screen of ipad.
Good notes is 30 bucks?
Hola
I prefer to read on my mini, however; if I’m reading for hours the battery life is t great. If I plan to read for several hours I’ll use my kindle. I just upgraded from the 2011 kindle 😂😂😂. It was time.
I use two iPads not the mini the 11 inch side by side the m1 and m2.
Huh? Two are unnecessary? I have two and use them constantly.
DITTO!
Me too!
Me too
How does everyone use two?! I tried it and ended up returning the mini. I really want a second that's easier to carry when I'm out. Teach me your ways!
@@KP-ut5rb the Mini is for e-reading, note taking and ease of carrying. The iPad is for the serious stuff. The data carries from one to the other, so you can use whichever is appropriate to your current needs.
Jessie A Smith
One way I use my iPad is to have Siri control my smart plugs, which turn the lights off and on and the Apple TV off and on and it is my alarm clock.
Having 2 iPads isn’t intense at all. I have 3 LMAO..
They all are great for different things and i don’t like battling with storage.
Two ?
I have one iPad… iPad Air 4.
