I shot a 72 gross (par 70) as a 9hcp’er at Llanwern GC in South Wales, and on the day I was best gross and net. If I remember correctly, as was 20 years ago, it was 15 pars, only 1 birdie, a bogie and a Double-bogie. Most memorable because I was best gross on the day rather than winning the net comp.
Playing off 16, 2 years ago I had a magic round of 76. I still bore my golf mates, work mates, family and anyone that will listen about my 76 at Westerhope Golf Club in Newcastle upon Tyne. I even recorded it all as I had my ShotScope watch on 👍
Thanks for the putting tips, best round was about 20 years ago "much better golfer when I was in my 40's" Dell Urich golf course par 70 muni shot 68 Thanksgiving morning. Teamed up with a father son twosome and had the round of my life. 25 putts total a few chip ins and putts made from off the green. Tucson AZ. USA.
87 at my local Oaks Park Golf Centre, it was a freak round 15 years ago when I struggled to get below 100. In recent times it was 89 and I now break 100 regularly
Shot a 4 over 76 a couple of times now. One was at East Sussex National and the other Dom Pedro Millenium Handicap was 8.9 before the new system came in and just getting my game back now! My shots are always given away with penalties, if I can keep it on the dance floor I’m long enough to have a chance of scoring!
My best round ever was a 70 at Ngaruawahia Golf club in NZ (par 72). Was just in the groove and everything came together that day. The heart was pumping coming down the last two holes that's for sure!
78 at Wolstanton Newcastle under Lyme this year…Before that it was 81 at the Old Course St Andrews in 2011… The game of a lifetime. Loved everything about the day. 😄
Best rounds are 75 at the Astbury then 77 at Whittington Heath just yesterday, had a few 3 putts though..! Will be using some of these tips - thanks Matt!
My lowest score 79 was my last round at a golf course called Evergreen , changed my grip on how I hold my putter & stroke felt free & putted better because of it. I get along just fine with short putters since I’m 5’6” even though current one is 34” I’m holding off on changing it until I can get a putter fitting.
Best round this Summer at Thurlestone gross 73 playing off 10 - handicap now going South which is great! First time I'd played the course and loved it - had the benefit of a beautiful sunny and relatively still day - magic!
Lowest score..75 in Chattanooga, Tn , USA....fewest putts: 22 (had allot of up and downs but missed allot of greens 😡...)..thanks for the info, keep up the good work, enjoy your channel...
Best round ever, was at a course called Maccauvlei Country Club. Shot an 82 playing off an 18 handicap, so I was pretty impressed. Par 3s and 5s my friend that day.
Best round ever was Somerset West (South Africa) shot a 97. I am happy with my 5 to 6 foot putts (thanks to my Puttout), and have been working lately on longer putts, currently seem to be getting 20 foot plus putts to within 3 foot ( probably 8 out of 10 times). I just need to get one of their matts rather than using my carpet!
My best recent round was an 92 at Greenway Hall GC. Just returning to golf after a 20 Year lay off, was a single figure golfer back then. Not so much now lol.
My best round was an 82 at Bicester golf and country club. It was a summer round with more roll on long shots which was what helped me as I am not a long hitter.
Lowest round was a 66 at Sunset Golf Course in Pennsylvania USA. Putted like a madman that day. Keep the great content coming coach! The Army needs it.
81 for me coach, always have a couple of blow up holes. My swing used to get jerky inside 6’ look at the flag now, bloody marvellous. A drill I like is never leaving a putt short. So go to a certain distance from the flag, say 10 yards. Putt 10 shots, all to go past the pin. Now lay a club behind the pin say at 2 yards. 10 putts must go past the pin but stop before they hit the club. work out a scoring system, change distances,slopes etc. I also practice my chip and pitch shots this way.
Best round at Earlswood GC just outside of Swansea, 5 under for my handicap. In all honesty, any round where you can have a laugh with your mates is gold.
Lowest score was a 78 this year @ Golden Hawk GC in Casco, MI U.S. Usually shoot in the upper 80s lower 90s. It was one of those rounds where all my misses still worked out.

Love the drills, Best round 20 years ago, Ombersley Worcestershire, shot 70 Gross (-2) Was off 10 at the time. Was my first round back after 6 months off, was just happy to be back playing golf, relaxed with no expectations or 50 different golf swing thoughts in my head - maybe there is something in that!!! Never been under par gross since - was just one of those days that live in my memory

My lowest score is a +6, 78 at Rookwood golf course in West Sussex. I’d only been playing 14 months and that was over two years ago. Think it was a fluke but I’ve shot 80 about 3 times and 81 about 4 times. I should become a member at a easier course like Rookwood and I’d break 80 all the time. My course is really hard and my best score is 84 off the whites which I’ve done 4 times and 83 off the yellows. My last round was 80 at a par 70 so 10 over but I had five 3 putts so this video is great for me. I was livid as could of been a 75 if they were two putts. Maybe I need a new putter 😉 great video!

I shot a 79 at Encinitas Ranch. Irons were dialed that day and I had a lot of 1 and 2 putts. I'm a mid handicap and average around 2 putts per hole/per round. I use a PuttOut and similar mat along with the drills and tips you explained here!
89 at the Algonquin in St. Andrews-by-the-Sea, New Brunswick, Canada. Was actually my bachelor party weekend 8 years ago this month. I still use the ball marker I bought now.

Best round - GC Bockfliess, just outside Vienna, Austria. Shot 78 gross. Hcp at the time was 18, what a bandit. Love the course but I have only ever shot that low once. My favorite drill with putter is placing tees at 1 foot intervals and then trying to get the ball to each tee, in turn getting further away. Plus the puttout of course.
great vid. Would be fun to hear why ended up with that putter/neck. And maybe a suggestion for a video where you show how your pattern would change with the S/toe hang version of that putter
I live the stats, definitely puts things into perspective. My best round is 84 for 18 and 40 for 9, but usually I’m a low 90’s shooter. If I can get near the fairway off the tee I generally will do well, but I bet I average 4-6 3 putts a round at least.
66 Came Down Golf Club 1993 - 2nd round Club Champs😁. Great vid Matt. Our putting green has a tier & usually 1 hole just at the base of the tier, so it’s a great test of feel to stop the ball hole high from the top level - nice check to do pre round
My lowest ever score was a 90 at fox run in the Chicago suburbs. I'm not very good but getting better! My 9 hole (par 36) record is a 41, though, at white pines east also in the Chicago suburbs. Thanks for the tips, Coach!
70 (par 71) at Judgeford GC in New Zealand. It was so long ago it was called 'New Judgeford' then, tru story! :) . I had been playing well but doubled the first and thought no chance. So pressure was off.
Best round ever for me has happened I think three times during the past couple of seasons and it's been the same score, a round of 77 (+6) at my home course here in Finland. Can't seem to break that barrier for some reason. A few putts here a few putts there and I feel I could've shot a 75 or under this year easily. Definitely need to improve on my short putting and it's going to be my training focus during the winter months since we can't play because of the cold and snow. Thank you for the tips Coach :)
Way back many years ago when I used to play of 24 I was in invited to a golf day at Channels Golf Club in Chelmsford (it’s now a housing development) and I had probably one of the most luckiest rounds ever. I shot 10 under my handicap but it wasn’t a class performance, for instance on a par 3 I hit my tee shot in the bunker which hit a rake and bounced to within 3 feet of the pin. It was almost embarrassing but the 3 guys in my group did explain to the rest of the players about the round but they still weren’t happy so I decided to not take any prizes. Kinda wish I had now as I still play over 20 🤣🤣

Best round for me is an 82 Coach and that was round Kilworth Springs in Leicestershire. 👍🏻 Just getting back into golf after 5 years out, my frequent playing partner and good friend died and I felt I couldn't play anymore, but with encouragement and some of Mark's video's I've got the bug again, been back at it 4/5 month's now. I feel for you Leon. The exact same thing happened to me as well. Lost my best and pretty much only real friend in 2014 and stopped golfing after that. Had planned to enjoy retirement together golfing our way across the states. Life throws us some curve balls that is for sure. Took me until this year to finally dust off the clubs and give it a go. Glad I did too and happy to hear you have done the same. Nice round that 82. I'm working to get back into then mid 80's again and possibly lower. All the best to you mate.

So sorry to hear of the loss of your best friend. Celebrate his life every time you play, remember the laughs you had and the crap shots you played, the birdies he made and try to find all the balls he lost.. You’ll find over time it helps us heal. You need a couple of drops of superglue on those and it’ll form a protective barrier…sounds mad but it’ll stop them hurting immediately. My best round was a 79 at Wyboston Lakes in Cambridgeshire

Shot 9 over playing off 18, and 2 over playing off 8. The 2 over was all down to the putting. Been using an Odyssey 9 for over 10 years, love it!

You need a couple of drops of superglue on those and it’ll form a protective barrier…sounds mad but it’ll stop them hurting immediately.

Best round is a 73 +3 of a 8 handicapp. Did that at Llanwern Golf club. A course roughly half a mile from the celtic manor 2010
