now its one big suburb from CDA to Spokane. I have been here since 1970. there used to be about 4 houses looking down the road, now there is a house every 100 feet it seems. no longer heaven with trees but power and phone lines with traffic. I have to wear ear plugs in my yard due to the traffic noise has increased 10 fold since I moved here. about the same heading north to Bonners. TOO MANY PEOPLE and not enough good paying jobs.
Anywhere is nice when the sun's shinning. Yes, Idaho is beautify, but very cold with long dark Winter days. Be prepared to shovel snow-lots of it. I bet they don't tell you this in the sales brochure or in this video.
You're a man of your word. That hat looks great on you. You and Bonnie have helped our family so much. We are so lucky to have met you two. You're our friends for LIFE. You guys were an absolute dream to work with. You literally made our dream of living in North Idaho a reality. We love your family and we're ALWAYS there for you guys. From the bottom of our heart's, thank you.
Probably a little less snow than CDA but, Still a 4x4 would be a good choice for sure. Used to swim there in the river with Cousins nice sandy beach. Those days are gone.
2016, I drove 2000 miles one way to elk hunt near Calder in a 27° tent w/14 days of torrential poring rain. St. Marie's is a nice place. The Pines Motel is the only one in existence. The people there are great. Idaho is the only state in the entire union this offers 80% discount for over the counter non-resident hunting permits for 100% disabled veterans. Fascinating terrain.
Wow so beautiful, North Idaho is God's country. On our list of potential retirement areas in about 3 years! I'm keeping your channel as reference and hope to see so much more before heading on up there! These videos are so helpful.
Thanks for following Lady! Be sure to get up here and take a tour with us and we will show you first hand why this place should no longer be potential LOL!
That size home on 5 acres will start at 450K. anything less will either need remodeling or has issues that would require compromise i.e. bad roads, steep property, longer drive etc. Thanks for asking. ~Kory
You are so blessed to live there. I live in Chicago and would love to move there, but I am caring for my mother who requires 24 hour care. Thank you for such a beautiful video.
As one who lives here, I share your concern. One must keep things in perspective though. ANYPLACE worth living is going to grow. I hear people foolishly say, "Idaho is growing so I am thinking of Montana, Wyoming, Texas, etc"...as if those places are not going to grow? Few places in this country that won't grow, but you don't want to or can't live there. As Idaho has grown, it has kept it's conservative values...North Idaho has grown MORE conservative with growth. Here is proof of this:www.livebetterinnorthidaho.com/blog/north-idaho-growing-more-conservative-with-time/ As this country grows in population and trends away from God and traditional values as a whole, my bet is on Idaho, and more specifically North Idaho, to stem the tide over anyplace in the country...that's why I live here. ~Kory Thanks for the post!
@@LiveBetterinNorthIdaho Yep Montana is getting bombarded by buyers everywhere here in Western Montana , Most especially in the Flathead , I think the Biden Election , oh I mean 'Selection' has scared a lot of people.
but he doesnt show you over taxation and a house every 100ft if you are near a town . back in the 60s it was heaven like going back to the 1800s. now you have to lock your door when you walk out to the back yard. Tweekers , and I live in country area 4 miles from town. Now everyplace is a suburb from CDA to Spokane. stand on your porch at 3 in the morning and watch cars cruise at 10 mph checking out the houses. too many people are moving in causing property taxes to go up 6 fold. you can't afford to sell because you can't afford to buy a livable piece equivalent.
Hey Cory being a realtor any chance you have any building contractors you know looking to hire my wife and I live in northern California raising our 2 year old son and we've had enough of this place we love the outdoors hunting fishing camping ohv riding any help would be great we're also planning a trip up to this summer to check the area out and look for work thanks for any help you can
Hey Kyle, construction is booming here, as are all sectors of work between CdA and Spokane, 30 minutes to the west of us. All of our builders are having a hard time finding and keeping skilled labor. If you would like, I can send you more info, you can send me your contact info herewww.livebetterinnorthidaho.com/contact/ . Keep us in mind when you come out this summer and we will give you a tour of the area. ~Kory
