- Five years ago, Lissette Calveiro racked up over $10,000 in debt while on a quest for social media influencer fame. She purchased designer clothes, luxury vacations and expensive meals just to post it on her Instagram. Presently, Lissette is using that experience as a cautionary tale for her growing fanbase and also works as an influencer marketing consultant working with fortune 500 brands. She joins our show to talk about overcoming the social media addiction.

Agreed I paid to get three items of Jewelry online through a company that was willing to have me as their ambassador paid for the item cause it was half off it was fairly inexpensive but it’s the middle of April and I still have not received my package that I had placed an order from February/March one of the two months but it’s like come on 🙄🤷🏿♀️I think being an influencer is a scam all together.
That’s basically life teaching you a lesson. Only difference now is that you can share it online.
I don’t get how people want to do what others do. That’s not authentic.

Got herself into debt for clicks and likes it's ridiculous. There was a recent story about a stylist who ran up a bill of $100k on her clients credit card buying designer items for herself, in order to take pictures for Instagram trying to be an influencer!
She made an investment and it worked. I don’t see an issue here

That’s why we as influencers say if your not willing to give it to me for free or not in my area that I’ll take a “business” no and that I can’t do it. When it comes to apps that they want me to advertise than yea sure cuz of course I’m getting paid to share an app on my Instagram and not pay for an item I’m most likely never gonna receive and realize I was scammed.

I don't like this show, and feel Tamron is not really being a good journalist, often making shockingly inaccurate statements. Yes - cancel.
Jortal Portal I love the Tamron Hall show. Tamron is classy, she is a great interviewer, she has empathy, and she is beautiful. Her show is great and some people (like you) just want to have something negative to say about people. So sorry that you have not accomplished what she has. Don't worry. Maybe one day you will have half of the success that she has (lol). Just go into your little corner and find something else to do, rather than putting out the negative energy into the world. Poor you. Just work harder at being positive, and I promise you, your life will get better and good things will happen for you.
