"Close polygon Hole" tool has evolve a bit now you just have to select the option: "Grid" and voila it's all done. No need to do the extra work to obtain your final result.
Can you extrude that middle square to an angle either expanding or restraining? Doesn’t matter what angle but all the faces generated when you pull the middle square to have the same angle. Thank you for sharing.
I'm just extruding. Initially I accidentally clicked the green axis and the selected faces were moved upwards instead of being extruded. I tried to edit that out with a quick cut. I just used "Undo" and then extruded.
Thank you for another tutorial Jamie. you should have stronger to mention, that the first thing to do before using the extrude tool - is to check the caps option everytime^^ edit: by the way, is it possible that you make an xpresso beginner tutorials series in the future? or is it not your field in c4d? because the way you explain something - is outstanding! i think i would have fun by learning xpresso this way :D sorry 4 my english, it will be better in some future days ;) regards from germany
Intentionally. Imagine you're drawing a flat polygon shape and then you want to give it thickness. The danger is forgetting the option on without meaning to.
Still relevant 9 years later, thank you !!

When you changed the focal length of the camera at 4:23 were you using a shortcut?
Yes, I think it was the camera dolly shortcut using right click.
Jamie Hamel-Smith I've not noticed that one before. Thanks. :)
Wait Wait Wait, Hold up. What did you do at 3.56 to make the weird raising of the edges stop form happening?

Out of curiosity, why would I have extruded with the "Create Caps" on in the first place? by accident, or intentionally?

Jamie Hamel-Smith Ahhh, I see! Thanks a bunch, much appreciated :)
